No, I'm just an aspiring writer for CoC2, and a guy that frequents this site for other games.Wouldn't be surprised if that Dreamer guy was actually one of them

Well that's... unfortunate. Devs sweeping criticism under the rug is never a good thing. Sure, online criticism can get rather hyperbolic and sometimes goes overboard, but they're throwing the baby out with the bathwater here. Especially with a project that has a lot of writing, you need other people to look at your work and criticize it. It's Creative Writing 101. It's so easy to get into your own headspace and just write whatever comes to mind without thinking about about how everyone else views it. Otherwise you get exactly what we see here: you get stuff like "oh god Cait's part of a sex cult" or "why did the genre suddenly switch from 'erotic fantasy adventure' to 'vaguely Japanese soap opera clearly written by a non-Japanese dude'?"Also savin be like View attachment 1960670
Well they does have a forum, and a Discord, and a Patreon all full of people in the thousands.Especially with a project that has a lot of writing, you need other people to look at your work and criticize it.
That's fair, though the fact that it's a porn game kinda skews the data they get. Most people are there for the sex, I would imagine, so as long as the game delivers on that front they'll be happy. And the game has no shortage of sexing to be had. But they keep trying to make it more than a porn game and, tbh, it's just not working. It's hard to write a drama when the phrase "kitsune slut wife" was used unironically not 2 scenes before. It was mentioned here that one of the writers wants to write Eastern Drama but... why? Why does the game need that other than "the writer wants to"? That goes for more than just the kitsune, most of the content in the game is just the writers adding stuff they like and not caring about whether it makes sense or adds anything to the game. Which makes the game less a coherent narrative and world and more like a collection of radically different elements all mashed together.Well they does have a forum, and a Discord, and a Patreon all full of people in the thousands.
And. tbh, if you came in at some random time when half the thread was on a rant about how sad the dev's personal lives must be, it'd be pretty easy to write this place off immediately.
How? Or where? I've been to every waystone I've unlocked. No astraea or anything.Did you talk to astraea at the waystone?

Yes and several characters in CoC2 are directly from that game, like Hashat, which is part of why some characters get treated like sacred relics.Doesn't Savin run D&D campaigns with a bunch of dudes and they all pretend to be hot elves or some shit. Which, hey, but feel like most people would take the L and settle for a trip to Amsterdam.
Enjoyed the scene as well, as brief as it was. At this point I'm just waiting for Brint/Brienne's wedding so any new smaller content like this from Wsan is highly apreciated. I guess most people associate armpit stuff with gay porn so maybe it's why it took so long. They do avoid so many regular kinks for seemingly no reason. Watersports are straight up forbidden, Savin already said he doesn't give a fuck about virginity loss scenes, a character like Drifa taking so long to be introduced, etc. Quin's footjob scene was a pleasant surprise though considering how it's probably quite niche, really wish we'd get more actually new content instead of one more dommy futa or breedable fox.snip
Oh god, that makes so much sense. No wonder everything is wonky, it's all DnD logic rather than actual storytelling logic. Not dissing DnD, I play it all the time, but what works on the tabletop often runs contrary to good writing practice.Yes and several characters in CoC2 are directly from that game, like Hashat, which is part of why some characters get treated like sacred relics.
Don't know bout that one chief, problems in the execution and SavCo either don't got the means or don't give a flying fuckWords
Once again we are reminded that Coc2 is a power fantasy for writers, not for us players no no we cant have that, that would ruin their "vision" and "internal character consistency" or probably some other hypocritical shit.Yes and several characters in CoC2 are directly from that game, like Hashat, which is part of why some characters get treated like sacred relics.
Does anyone here specifically actually like or support the game though, let alone fund it? You guys refer to the people who actually do fund the game as "paypigs", and given that this thread more or less exists to pirate the game I can't exactly see how this place keeps CoC2 alive. This is somehow both immensely disappointing to see and absoultely what i expected to see from the dev team. Ive been following Tits, coc 1 and coc 2 since like 2016 and there was always been this thin air of pretentiousness to these games but i didnt even think that the devs attitude was this bad.
I mean i kinda understand their pov for acting the way they do, sometimes fans in a community thats kinda big most voices of criticsim can be whiny and unpleasant but to just ignore a group of people that actively keep the game alive and like the game enough to point out its flaws and want it to actually improve is just brain dead. Especially when said people fund your game.
Now now, this isnt Lilith's throne and devs are not Inno, we atleast can expect semi-regular work from them ;v.Claim the developers work tirelessly when they do 1 minute of real actual work a month if we are lucky
What in the fuck am I looking at?I've finally made the "Matiha's Revenge" quest and what an absolute nightmare of a dungeon. I don't know if the person behind it was a genius, a doffus, or a sadist. I've spended 3-4 hours drawing a map. Here is an excel with all the rooms and where do they lead to. You are welcome.

100 moves, actually. When you feel like you have to pity-move the player straight to the end after 50 moves in your maze, maybe that's when you should sit down and ask yourself whether it's truly a well-designed dungeon or not.
