It's optional doesn't work for characters cause there freaking characters. Too much bs slip why atugia and especially rynare a mess. Ryn especially falls into this pitfall of do everything but it's "optional" and if this game wasn't called coc would be a schizophrenic in another setting. It would be like Kiyoko being a cait tier whore but it's optional. It. It fucks ya fucking perception of a character. It's why alot of reboots suck shit too but I digress. Just fucking have an idea for a character and work in the bloody limits.This game doesn't need anymore messes and shitty ocs.

When you put it like that, I guess I am being to relaxed on the bad writing decisions. Because what you're describing is literally the reason I did not like the new Berwyn content, as Berry suddenly being a god tier mage isn't set up at all. Berry literally struggles to control other elements besides earth (which is stated to be a basic ability, by Berry themself). And in game a black mage champion starts with the ability to use a fire spirit something Berry is struggling to even learn. So when I got to the end of his new quest with my mage, I was like how the fuck is Berry doing this, when the games lore pretty much puts Berry's abilities below your own character. But, yeah I guess you're right it does not excuse making a character act in a way that does not make sense, just because some people want it. It is essentially a dues ex machina.

Don't sweat it. The main reason I enjoy visiting this forum is because I get to read other peoples opinions. It makes me think about things in a way that I might not normally consider. Not a lot of people I know enjoy doing that. Often times when I explain why I do not enjoy something to people irl, they'll say I'm just taking the fun out of things. Or in other cases when I like something people will say I'm overthinking things.

Like my brother enjoys code vein and he was trying to get me into it, but I could never do that, because I felt it was a discount bloodborne. And what he had to say could be summed up as "I had fun" which is fine for him and a lot of other people. But, for me I want to know why I had fun or why I didn't. Also, as long as people are treating one another respectfully I never see a reason to get upset over differing opinions.

What do you mean? These characters exist, ultimately, to be jack off material for players. Again, I WOULD agree with you if your only problem was that the content was sorta unavoidable, but if the game spells out what the content is explicitly, why do you have a problem with it existing? Maybe some people are into Amily and Urta fucking, or whatever flavor of cuck content in CoC2 people have a problem with, and I fully believe they deserve to have their weird kink catered to.

If you aren't into that, you can avoid it and you lose literally nothing. Assuming it's optional, it only taints the character for you if you choose to engage with that content and don't like it, which is like, your fault? Idk, I personally don't think it's fair to get upset at content you can choose not to engage with. Just consider it non canon for your playthrough or something idk lol

Literally everything is good if you just ignore the bad, so don't get that outlook. And since we're talking basic character consistency in a text-based game, not exactly your run-of-the-mill quick fap no string attached, i get it even less.

But either way, what i'm saying is that there's a time and a place. Like, cuck rights yay but this isn't a NTR game and NTR isn't a beloved kink. Doesn't mean that stuff shouldn't be in the game at all (although i don't think there's any use in having much of it 'cause again not NTR game), just that it should be handled carefully when it is. Which really means, keep it to characters who are built for it and that's pretty much it, just like Fleep is doing with his demon chicks. He outright stated, righ in here even, that they'll be able to cuck us and no one gave him shit for it because why would you. They're built for that, their target gonna be Cait so who cares, and those of us not into it will be (and in fact already are) given some reverse NTR of our own. Handled right, so nothing to bitch about.

Luna is in the Xianxia mod. My feeling on her is pretty much the same as Urta. A character who may appeal to others, but not me. The only reason I say Luna warrants the remove option is because once you recruit her I believe you are stuck with her, and the only way to remove her is by using the cheat menu. I would have to double check that.

See, I don't get this. To me, it seems like you're defaulting anyone who doesn't explicitly say otherwise to instantly monogamous and being disappointed when they aren't.

Atugia isn't really super into you. She's not your girlfriend, as far as I know she never says she loves you, you and her don't really establish as of yet any deeper connection than having sex and being friendly with each other...and everyone else in your party meets those same qualifications.

Azzy's entire introduction establishes that she's part of a hive, and she feels cut off when she's not around large amounts of people. The whole reason she latches onto you in the first place is because she's desperate for any kind of companionship since she can't be near everyone in her hive.

Imo, it's easier and makes more sense in the setting that''s been established to assume everyone is down for casual sex with different partners as the default and not the other way around. The people who aren't generally explicitly say so, like Brienne and Kiyoko.

In the case of the Amily x Urta scene IIRC Amily basically goes over to call Urta a partner stealing hussy, but the two get drunk during said confrontation (which for a smol mouse girl who doesnt seem to be used to drinking wouldnt be hard). We all know urta is a horny drunk and I know personally I have mad some utterly retarded decisions when drunk, especially if emotional, so I can see why they'd possibly end up fucking.

I also know this can feel like a betrayal to people, but I think you can tell em to knock it off anyway.

Back to CoC2 however, I think if they leaned into Quin actively trying to make amends and not acting so over confident, 'I'm fuckings gift to man' sorta thing, he'd be more tolerable. Like if he were to get more scenes where either we take him by surprise during sex and show him pleasures he hasnt experienced much are worth it or where he ensures you feel important to him in some manner, rather than a quick fuck while he spouts off a the things he could do with his magic, it would be more fun.

Alternatively if he started to follow through his threats of using his magic, exhausting you entirely through rapid successive fucks.

No one operates under the assumption that the fantasy porn game will third-wheel them at every chance unless told otherwise.

As opposed to getting fucked on by your own companions because "cashaul shex makesh shenshe in-univershe" (but more like writers make a mess of their characters because reasons).

No but you can work around it. Open CoC II.exe from your offline PC DL, load the save you want to use, then Save it To File (buttons on the right side of the save/load menu). Navigate to coc 2\resources\app and open or drag the index.html on a browser. Load your save using To File, and then use F12, or right click on the webpage and select Inspect, then navigate to the Console tab. Enter your commands, save your game To File. Now you can load the save elsewhere if you want

Imo, it's easier and makes more sense in the setting that's been established to assume everyone is down for casual sex with different partners as the default and not the other way around.

I don't think it's fair to make that assumption when the first person you meet has a giant disclaimer about sleeping around because Savin knows the average player expects monogamy. If it were as common as you're suggesting in-universe, or in real life, then Cait's lengthy speech just comes off as weird. That's one thing Cait actually does well, no waifubaiting into a blindside hit. Azzy, Atugia, etc. waifubait, and then randomly sleep around with no forewarning or player input. In the case of things like Atugia+Brint there's player input, but it feels strongly out of place with the rest of Atugia's content. Etheryn is another weird case, where "high libido" unintuitively means she's more poly, and sometimes they're lazy with the variables so "high libido" content crosses over into all forms of Etheryn.

I just avoid characters like Azzy+Liaden but I get why people get upset about it. It's time that could've been spent on the original audience/theme of the character and PC instead of incongruous content. It's another lost opportunity for player agency, and people can get attached to characters pre-poly content and then have it thrust upon them months later in an update.

I cover it above but to summarize: it's discordant with the original premise of the character, can take away development time on the expected content for the character, can come out of nowhere months later, is often unavoidable or easy to stumble into, and for some it affects their perception of who the character is. Many wouldn't care if the content existed but was attached to specific characters from the start.

True, it was annoying and people complained, so Savin got SKoW to change it. You can help them hook up, say "not right now," or say "never." Azzy will remain polyamorous regardless, but at least you can opt out of Azzy+Liaden content now.
