Even in most indie games something like this would've been added back in already. Kinda ridiculous they haven't added this shit back yet considering it's already written. Bet they would just say "It's in the coding pipeline" bullshit like usual.
God forbid they just get someone else to write for him besides B. The flavor text on party/quests are something literally ANYBODY can write, they're only like 2 or 3 lines at most. Do they really think they need the writer of the companion to write something that insignificant every single time? It's hardly even more work if they decide to take that up themselves.
Man, feels good to wake up and rant up this game.
Forgot to reply to this earlier, but this is all some really good advice, I appreciate the insight you usually give in your posts.
What the fuck does "it's more about the public part" even mean? Why would them releasing content that has already been written excuse them to put out less content for a patch? It's not even more or less work for anybody involved, all they have to do is update some links to include the latest version. I've seen that public patches get less content and people just accept that, why is that the case?
Actually I'd say Berwyn is third.

It's because the public patch often falls between "regular" patches, so they have less time to have new content for them. Some games just don't bother putting any new content in oublic patches at all.
Not sure when it became the norm, but it seems to be fairly common.

Isn't Eryka's different since she started with a vagina and only has a penis because she got corrupted aganist her will? By the way, is there a in lore threshold for corruption effecting your appearance cause Eryka and Evelyn got penises but other people seem to have a more drastic change.
Kas probably specifically gave them a dick for the lols, i don't think it's a random mutation from corruption or something like that.

Why don't they just release it when a new patch drops, then? Seems unnecessary to make a whole new routine for it when you could just pair it with a new regular patch.
Dunno for sure.
If I had to guess, it's because from the public players point of view, it might look like a delay doing it that way, whereas from the backers POV this way its an early/extra patch.
But I'm just guessing. It might just be habit I guess, that lots of creators have picked up on.

One thing also odd about coc2 is that most on the staff keep seeming to talk about "the next project". Wsan has a untitled taur game, they've talked about having a spin off Evelyn game, difficult to dig through everything they've said but it's like whenever stuff comes up similar to "can we visit orc islands, kitsune nation, jassira" etc, "maybe in the next game" is said. It has the feeling of the dev team not really being interested in long term support. In comparison to how long the other fenoxo games were supported, along with taking every measure to ensure modding is as hard as possible, removing another coc1 level community, coc2 feels more like obligatory work than what they're actually wanting to do, and with no means for another xianxia level project to happen whenever they decide to stop, that'd be the end.

My bet? Next update will have more kitsune content, TOBS can't let three updates pass without indulging his fetish.

I agree. If they cared about people who might want to access Berwyn's old content or even if they wanted to mitigate backlash to the patch a bit, his old scenes would've been in there on patch launch. Or at the very least, in the next patch.
"Too much work" is their slogan. Tfs not having any perks/tfs being limited in body type = too much work. Variations in scenes that take into account different tfs = too much work. Different body states for many characters to appeal to different players = too much work. Honorable mention to what was supposed to be the opposite to the Keros stuff, except no one wanted to compete with the sheer word count of what Tobs did in the kitsune den and Tobs wasn't interested in doing the other side himself.
A lot of things the devs abandon or don't consider because it's too much work for - what they consider - too little payoff. And so a lot of the time, things that would imo increase player enjoyment gets tossed to the wayside. When content actually included npcs reacting to my pc's tfs in TiTs it always made me really happy and made the scene ten times better imo. Because what's the point of tfs if no one reacts to my pc being a plant lady with 3 vaginas? But they're making money doing what they have been doing, so any complaints otherwise are just noise to them. It's made playing CoC2 disappointing for me, compared to the other games.

Aside from anything else, if I recall correctly not providing perks was done for a different reason. They apparently didn't like that people were creating chimeras to minmax their champion in CoC1 to get all the best perks/attacks, so they decided to just not provide any. That's why like the only attack you get from TF'ing is Tail Whip/Whack? which is near useless, it's a dig on the minmaxxers from the first game.
While I love playing centaurs, it is a lot of work. You essentially have to rewrite every scene that involves PC's lower half. While I disagree with the decision to not allow that TF, I do understand it
These are things Wsan is working in in his free time, not an actual team project.
Wsan really likes writing, and even after he's done doing it for work he apparently does it for fun too.

Minmaxing sounds like an excuse because what about the people who don't want to become a chimeric abomination because of combat in a porn game? People who play for the tfs will use the ones they want and people who play to minmax will try to do that regardless if tfs provide combat bonuses or not. It's a reasoning that never made sense to me.
And I never said it wasn't a lot of work. My point was, despite the work, it increased player (or at least my) satisfaction. It's something that made me appreciate the writers who put in that extra work to include it in TiTs (wsan became known as taur guy cuz he did it a lot, fenoxo did it sometimes, and william was always very good at accounting for different body type/tf variations). So yeah it's understandable that they don't want to put in that extra work but it's also incredibly disappointing (for me).

Yeah, I totally agree. I was never a minmaxxer so I feel slighted. I also agree it doesn't make sense, but hey that's their reasoning.
It's incredibly disappointing for me too, being a taur was my favorite in CoC1.
