It mainly happens in scenes with certain other characters, for example in the kemono girl at the tavros bar that you can romance. In one of the scenes, a zil comes to the bar and for some reason flirts with the Kemono friends, and while the PC is completely useless from the Zil pheromones and basically has to watch pathetically until the kemono girl breaks out of the pheromones herself and beats the zil up... Yeah an untrained girl going to an university or something like that does something a max stat Steele can't do.

In TITS there is a ship full of morons that sucker punch your ship then steamroll their way on board yours and you have zero recourse against them, cause they are just better than you. Some of the worst writing I ever saw in the game. Caused a big stink for a bit on the forum too.

I'm not saying TITS doesn't have this problem, I'm just saying COC2 is way worse with it, especially with writers coming out of the woodwork saying how strong their characters are and shitting on the MC, also literally making it impossible to beat kas is pretty egregious

None of those interactions are main story. The only godly interaction tied to the main plot is basically a short scene of Lumia.

They really haven't been tied to the story other than that, all of their scenes are optional.

If we dismiss optional content as not being important, then the whole bit with Gweyr is not important. Which you really can't do, as her optional side quest pretty much explains why Garth, Garret, and Gwyns family is the way that it is. Just because content is optional doesn't mean it can't have a greater impact on the story or that it has zero merit to be explored. Recruiting most of the people in Mass effect 2 and doing their loyalty mission is all optional. But, it explains your companions motivations and why they are capable of certain things.

Edit: You're only required to recruit Jacob, Miranda, Mordin, Jack, Grunt, and Garrus, but it is possible to skip Tali, Samara, Thane, Kasumi, Zaed, and you can sell Legion to the Illusive Man. Just cause you skip these characters doesn't mean they and their content suddenly doesn't exist. It doesn't mean the events in the story doesn't happen or play a larger role in the story. For example Miranda is infertile. The only way you can know this is if you read the codex in Lair of the Shadow Broker. If you chose or miss that content its on you. As that content can inform on certain things about her personality. Like Miranda questions why Joker wouldn't want to date a human. This might come across as her being weired out by Joker dating robot, but having additional information about makes it possible to infer that shes wondering why someone date someone they can't have kids with as that's something she wants.

Javik is optional in Mass Effect 3, and a lot of people were upset over that because having Javik explains a lot of things about the Asari. How They came to power and the world of Mass Effect as a whole. And many people argued that he should be a required companion as the greater implications that come from interacting with him completely changes how people view the world of Mass Effect.

Edit: Also if you don't agree with Tau_Iota ideas I think thats a reasonable stance to take. But some of your other points I can't really agree with.

You get zero chance to fight back, zero chance to tell them to fuck the hell off your ship, and zero chance to execute them like they deserve. Absolute garbage writing that legit made me quit the game for well over a year. I seriously hope QuestyRobo never writes for any game I ever play again.

TITS is really much better about that than CoC2 is, this scene in particular (well series of scenes cause it just doesn't end...) is very out of place and should never have been greenlit. I think the writer must have given Fen a ton of cash to insert his garbage.

THIS is the main reason i never get invested in Savin piece of shit games. That fucker has no control over his writers or his own egos that its crazy. Imagine actually spending hours tolerating the always boring and tedious combat of these games to get to the good part, THE WRITING.
Only for a random character you never saw or heard about just show up and just bends your character over and deep dicks them and make them look like a total nerd, your practically maxed stat and level out and character is strong enough to fight armies one handed and planetoid monsters and elderich demons but they can't stop Captain Numbnuts oc because they're buddy buddy with with the creator of the game.
This is why i forever play these games on story mode and just skip to just interacting with characters i like.

It's why I play these games with the wiki open, I will never go into a encounter blind again. It's amazing how much rage just thinking about this again is bringing up. Pretty stupid over a bloody porn game but there you have it.

Honestly, they aren't really a blank slate, but that's beside the point. The champ has certain baked in aspects - one of them is his goal is Kass. Above pretty much all else. The focus of the game and the champs goals are inmutable.

How are they not a blank slate when their only especially definable trait is that they're going after Kas? Everything else is variable. Regardless of that, it's pretty insane to imply that the champ can have no goals other than Kasyrra. I guess side quests shouldn't exist because Kas is the only thing that matters going by what you're saying. Again, Champ can care about more than one thing, dude.

Well no, and you just...completely switched subjects. We were talking about me being dismissive of the idea that this plot point needs to be developed, which is a completely different conversation than debating theories with Tau.

Let's go by what happened:
I say it would be a good idea to further expand the whole god wraith thing since there's basically no info on it. You say it's unnecessary. Tau is debating this in the first place because there isn't any further information on the subject. You say that there isn't any proof to back up his theories, etc.

That to me shows that you're dismissive of the idea that it should be added because you won't even entertain a "what if" people bring up just for curiosity's sake and go out of your way to stamp out that idea despite there being no right or wrong here. It would be one thing if you indulged in such theories for fun or didn't bother to respond to them at all. But to go out of your way to try and somehow prove his theories wrong when you could have just left it at, "I don't think we need more info on it", seems needlessly negative to me, at least over something so harmless.

Shizuya's crew. You get mistaken for one of their bounty targets, and disarmed without any skill checks. Ship is in disrepair, so you have to wait it out between the two crews, your own ship and theirs.
Course, it doesn't take into account anything that has been implemented since then, such as unique ships (Dr. Teyaal's Sidewinder).
