Well, for one, while body type and gender might not matter for you, they are a huge deal for...well, most people. As I said, even the relatively small amount of male content in this gameis >>>almost any game that isn't exclusively focused on gay content. Heck, same with the lesbian content, this game has more lesbian content than most stuff that isn't exclusively lesbian content.

And I've said this before but...I think you (and other people) have been so desensitized by freaky shit you forget how freaky this game gets.

Lots of preg content, more than a few lactating characters, milking, lots of cumplay, bukkake, cumflation and all that jazz.
Over sized/hyper sized sexual attributes. Furries and monstergirls of a variety of different types. Muscle girls, big curvy mommies, traps and twinks. A bunch of scenes that take double dicks into account, if you have 'em.
Hell, even some fairly basic fetish like anal has a significant amount more content in this game than most games.

And this is just the primary stuff, that gets repeated a lot. There's also more than one scene with ovipositors, egging and anal pregnancy, tentacles...someone coming with fresh eyes from one of the 10 million games on here which mostly consist of getting blowjobs from your "landlady" would probably see this game in a pretty different light.

A big part of what got me interested in these games is how scenes would take your characters physiology into account, and while that was done fairly well and often in the beginning CoC2, the amount of scenes that actually take significant aspects of your characters has diminished to almost nothing. I feel like every character or scene that I would be interested in at this point (male pc x female) is just a bland rewrite, I'm still holding out hope for brihaus but I'm not expecting much at this point. Maybe I'm just too vanilla for this game now.

And while this game contains far more fetishes and bizzare shit than the average game on this site, you have to take the setting and universe into account. Most popular games here are based in modern reality. This game is pure outlandish fantasy like coc1, and I can almost guarantee we'll never see characters with content like Scylla or Vala.

One of the things they said up front actually was that they didn't want shopkeepers to have sex content.

Of course, Balak is supposed to be giving Nelia scenes anyway, but who knows when.

But in any case, I still don't think you can call a character abandoned who's been involved in several quests since her inception. She's actually gotten like 3 or 4 updates as part of someone else's.

Another one of their weird rules. Shopkeepers can't have sex scenes but asexual characters can have them. It's been explained to me last time that Sav & Co. wanted to discourage sexable shopkeepers because they would rather have content directed somewhere else, but the rule still feels limiting.

Splitting hairs here, but the rule actually is that shopkeepers don't have to have mandatory sex scenes. If one wants to write a shopkeep they can write sex scenes, but it isn't necessary.

There are plenty of shopkeeps who the pc can bang; cat girl, and stylists in Hawkthorne; the roaming stone succubus and her troupe; a lot of people in Khorminos, marefolk village has the cow lady.

Not at all. The game when Fenoxo alone worked on was smaller, slower, and way worse. Updates were way slower and less substantial, and there was very little variety. The actual scenes were also way worse, as Fenoxo got better at writing as he went, and you could really tell when he wrote something he wasn't interested in - the scenes were a lot more lifeless compared to the stuff he was into.

Accepting submissions greatly increased the pace and scope of the game. The problem was simply that it was his first game and he never intended it to become as big or popular as it did. The code was creaky, he hadn't set up any stipulations for abandoned characters, there was barely a plot to move forward, and every update was basically just a new camp waifu character with no purpose.

What "killed" CoC was Fenoxo got better at making games and wanted to start fresh.




These games wouldn't be possible to make without crowdsourcing or more accurately, wouldnt be succesful enough to warrant 3(.5) games. There's been discussion around here before about possible competitors to these games like Liliths Throne, and they all just put out too little content too slowly..



I attribute its existence to the fact that there was a proven model to take advantage of. Some game would exist with or without CoC's name.

TiTs exists, and it isn't trading off CoCs name...but it does use the crowdfunding model. When the next game comes out, it's not gonna be another CoC sequel, but it will, once again, use a similar model to produce content. Because that's the primary ingredient in the success of these games.

I agree with everything you said except that Fen got better and wantd to start afresh. Tits was a clusterfuck. It still is, but not code wise. The plot is still barely moving forward and hasnt done so for years on end.
CoC2 is many times better organized than Tits could ever hope to be.

What? TiTS is incredibly unstable nowadays. Gedan and lowercase_donkey has been fighting a veritable Hydra of bugs. And because of that content has been scarce lately (sans the Dhaal dungeon). But you know what? I still prefer the clusterfuck that is TiTS than CoC2 anyday. Every planet has something that can entertain me, but in CoC2 it feels more like I'm slogging along to get to the content I like. And sometimes when I do reach content that I think I like I often end up disappointed in it (The Siorcs for example).

Pretty much the only game I know of with comparable levels of content is Flexible Survival (also uses crowdsourcing) but it's a hard sell. It's a very clunky and unintuitive game (probably too furry for most people here too) but it has a vast amount of content in many flavours.

The biggest difference between this and something like degrees of lewdity and liliths throne is the approach to writing characters who fuck you, rather than just giving a framework to be fucked. They have '1 size fits all' sex where if you've had sex once you've more or less experienced the entire game.
Even with CoC one which had mostly very short, simple and static sex scenes (an average CoC scene is like 2-3 paragraphs long, TiTs or CoC2 go on for pages) , even the random npc's had personality that's not taken from a pool of presets, just a dick 100% of the time because that's the point of the game or tied to a stat you can casually change 5 mins into the game after grabbing 1 succ/incubus and selling them then crafting a 'you are submissive' potion.
I think the closest in terms of content would be Tales of Androgony or that one game where you get bought by some submissive slave raising corporate society I forget the name of.
But those are both hard sub games so while they may have a decent amount of a lot of content, if your idea of fun isn't 'thanking my futa mommy for fucking my mouth for 5 hours and magically getting off on it', they're still lacking.
Same goes for degrees of lewdity and trapquest which are in the same 'explore a map and fuck/get fucked' sphere.
Most games like this lean hard sub.

Also speaking of sub content, Klemaia can fuck 4 people at once for an entire night without stopping. Why can't we fuck that good? We tap out after cumming like one time per person, maybe 2. We can in basically every other game in this series. CoC2 mc is weak.

Thought the entire point of the revamp was to just untangle the mess but I guess that's on me for actually believing Fen. It's normal to go through a plethora of bugs after a massive revamp like that though.

TiTs may have varied content, but the quality is incredibly inconsistent, far more than CoC, and so much of it is just so shit. So much forgettable, one dimensional hypersexed encounters and side characters.

Things really start to line up when you recall that Savin is currently DMing a 3+ year, 160+ session DnD campaign that features at least one character from CoC2. We're all just the marionettes dancing on Savin's railroady strings.

I was super excited until I realized it was by Gardeford. He can't write jack shit. And that's exactly what's happening with Lumia. Her scenes are so...dumb. Lengthy prose in all the wrong places and too little detail in the actual act of sex that matters. Plus why the fuck does his Lumia confess in the middle of a sex scene to a hero that she talked to for like 10 minutes total.

Had she been handled by a more competent writer, I definitely would have liked her. You're the super special champion breeding goddesses, what's not to like?

But Savin just had to give writing Lumia to the guy who wrote the second least liked companion in the entire fucking game, Atugia. The companion that literally nobody, no fucking body gives a shit about. At least Quin is polarizing, he has a tiny minority that likes him, and others hate him.

Nobody cares about Atugia simply 'cause all of her writing fucking sucks. And to not be remembered at all is worse than being hated.

The guy who wrote that, wrote this super big character that everyone was excited about. Wtf was going through savin's head I wonder.

Edit: Actually, to make a completely uneducated guess, Gardeford probably promised Savin a few Arona x Lumina scenes in return for being able to write her. Also lol at the forced Atugia scenes in the quest. Dude just had to showcase his OC.

I have almost never interacted with Garb characters -- most of them are not appealing to me in design alone -- but l did do the pregnancy content of that horse lady that carries my stuff and I enjoyed it. It felt like it had good understanding of what made the concept of pregnancy hot from a fetishistic angle.
So I am kind of interested in how goddess of fertility can come off as boring.

And when it comes to Atugia, eh... Only thing I have to say is that while I can guess why she may seem forced in, my visceral reaction was "Oh finally, she is not sucking on the tits of the success of our companions. She may actually start interacting with the narrative. Or at least she is getting content.

I have my qualms with "one fuck leads to ever lasting love" approach to establishing relationship between champion and the NPC. I do not mind in some cases, but I do wish more PCs had a slightly more gradual progression. But, at the same time, this is a porn game and people come here for sex.

Still, if I was Jstar, the way I would try to satisfy both camps (the sex havers and romance enjoyers) would be like this.
The sex scenes are there from the start but make it so that the further you progress with Drifa, the more romantic the eventual boning will end up being. Like how Zo does it: you can fuck her from the start, but if you hold yourself back, she will confess her love to you and make your first time feel that more romantic. I think that is a good compromise.

I lost interest in this game years ago when all I wanted is to have more funtime with kassyra (arguably the most story importatnt character) but after about a year of no added content with her and the feeling of grinding through other stuff Im not interrested in just turned me off this game only checking if it gets released to maybe see the content Im interrested in.

There are a few characters, like Brienne for example, that can be fairly monogamous with the MC. And there are fight loss scenes in which the MC is forced to watch her forced to have sex with others.
