It's very much going to remain "What the writers want, the writers get" and what they're going to find out one day is that they'll be the only ones wanting to play it.

Yeah, no they won't. This game has a firm foundation within it's niche, a niche that it doesn't have any real competition in, as such it's basically secured itself a large enough audience to keep on going. It's Patreon is doing well and it's done well on Steam.

Contrary to what people HERE in this echo chamber think, this game is doing fine(hell, it's updated and added more content this month alone than most games here do in half a year) and will continue to do fine barring anything disastrously damaging.

He didn't even do that right considering that much like Commodore Perry or MacArthur the Champ beat their asses and nailed em to the wall, they're now reliant on their status quo not the other way around.

It's been a long while, what's the best warrior stats/build for sword and a shield? I plan on using lightweight armor because of the stupid Veteran perk.

But...wearing a shield still activates the other half of the Veteran perk tho (if you're gonna be a walking talking stagger-immune threat generator your damage ain't gonna be that great so might as well wear heavy armor to bulk up? is not like your Initiative will go down since you're a Warrior.)

That being said I would say wearing light armor, using some two-handed weapon of your preference and putting all your race/class/background points into toughness, also Cleave-Steady Strike-Bull Rush go brrrrrrrr (learning that one at-will stance from Zo that'll make you immune to disarmed and prone is a hella good choice, also getting the Mare Ring from Atanni so you have a passive regen.)

Well looking at my character they're a Human Warrior with the Soldier background? Isn't the other half of Veteran perk still abit better then just getting more attention on you?

Thing is, they're not writing for the players anymore, they're all writing for themselves. Its their kinks and fetishes and its long past the point where its gotten tedious.

True to those and some, but I'll bring it up again to why aren't there any mod this one? CoC has one and I'm currently using the hgg one, but this one doesn't despite existing for half a decade by now.

I will say, on the forum if you look through their community contributor suggestions they make it a point to say "Prioritize your fetish while writing" which under normal circumstance would be fine, but as far as im aware theres a fairly large backlog of content submitted by the community that is still under review due to just how thin the actual group is and that theyre all essentially doing their own thing. Honestly imo the issue can easily be solved by either scaling back on brand new expansions and focusing on what is already in the game or getting a sub-team specifically for reviewing content assuming there isnt one already.
To me it'd just be a whole lot easier to just sort through existing content expansions like moth girl rather than every single submission, entire new areas questlines, etc etc. It essentially makes a bottleneck where only a few things get through every now and then that are usually works of the already decorated writers creating their own fetish scenes

Honestly, I was of the mind that this was a money-raking operation. It does seem like that has changed a bit but it's still a bit slow.

Also, why do I feel most of the community stuff is gonna turn out to be futa on top of futa?

To be fair, if someone bothers with modding this game to any extent that isn't fudging with combat stuff, they'll likely wait until the whole thing's over anyway.

It's been a slow but steady downward trend from that point onward. Mind you nothing they'll ever have to worry about unless they plan for CoC2 alone to carry them for decades (they don't). Wouldn't be smart either at any rate. From it's peak it's been a near 500 drop a year. While half of that could likely be attributed to Patreon's big oopsie that required a bunch of people to resub to their subs, that's only for that year.

Who knows what makes people unsubscribe. But they do. Nothing lasts forever.

I was curious enough to check it out. Not my cup of tea. There are authors in the porn game space that can write scenes with enough finesse that I can enjoy them despite them being out of my usual comfort zone. This isn't one of them. But for me, I'm "pretty" sure the difference is the (lack of) after care. Or maybe it's a whole bunch of different reasons, it's hard to accurately and adequately parse why I like something sometimes. What I'm trying to say is, Xotchi in TiTS has no sex at all. I'm generally comically repulsed by pain play. However, the aftercare afterwards was done in such a way that I liked the NPC and grew to not mind the scenes.

But, I'll say from a less abstract stance, every scene ending with practically a "and then they continued fucking" with a follow up flash forward is a bit weak.

There was a mod years ago. It was discontinued not due to difficulty (it implemented Drifa nearly half a year before CoC2 proper did). It was discontinued due to lack of interest.
