Yeah, they didn't account for it, Had to go back to double check/ redo ALL of that
Y'know I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't account for someone actually giving the girls to him instead of taking them for themselves or freeing them. And I can't really say I blame them either.

Yo.
Yeah did a series of posts documenting her unwanted appearances without hiring her, and that's still my main save file. She basically stops appearing though after the mid-point of the game. I think Sav got bored of her, and moved on to try pushing his knock off Brienne (Livrea) when he saw how popular Brienne was. But early game the assumption is you have to have her, so a lot of companion content referenced her. She sometimes appears as a threesome option for new characters, and obviously there's a bunch of quests that can't be done without her, one of only two characters that have major content gated behind them (if you count Brint's family as major content).
She also replaced Gwyn as the village midwife for some writers, so depending on what knocks you up, and how often, you may see a lot more of her. I imagine this as Cait, desperate to be relevant again, smashing her way into the nursery and locking Gwyn out, who has to go off and beg Garth to kick Cait out again so she can do her job. But then, in my head cannon of unrecruited Cait, she's this sex-fiending homeless person who just lives at the tavern and randomly injects herself into other people's lives, hoping anyone finds her interesting or takes her out back for a quickie.
Cait is in game Purple Aki, spawning inside the toilets at the frost hound and pawning anyone who is drunk enough not to run while she drops her iconic catchphrase, "hello bois, lemme feel those dicks"

You think they get in animal control, an exorcist, or an exterminator for that?
I would go for the cheap option, put her inside a sack and send her to pre-fem Hirrud with a note saying that I'm sorry about his harem and that I hope this genuine jassirian catslut can mend the relationship between us, and I'll also add Quin and the lesbian wasp as a bonus

Rape is how they say hello back there at Cait's temple

You know, if you phrased it right, I bet she'd be happy to do it too. "You miss Brint's dick right? And now he doesn't have any other cat sluts to stick it in. So you know, if you think about it, it's less giving you to Hirrud, and more giving you your own, exclusive, mino-cock, without any competition."

I dig it, specially because of the double twist at the end when Hirrud blames Cait for her poor cock-sucking techniques and Cait learns that after years of abusing the bottle, Hirrud's manly rod is now a floppy noodle

Karakara wrote a Hirrud Bad End scene (normally he just kills you if you lose), but he wrote a one. I think the plan was to replace the death, or do a 50/50% chance. Hirrud claims Champ for harem, if bedicked Champ he shrinks it with some potion and proceeds to humiliate them. Not sure if he submitted it officially, since at the time Hirrud did not have a sex scene, which is one of the requirements for a first submission (writing a scene for a sexable NPC). Haven't done new Hirrud stuff, might be worth him looking into it.

I believe it just ended with the Champ submitting that this was their new life and maybe they'd grow to possibly enjoy, but probably not. I think I made a silly suggestion (based on the Nakano/Den bad end, where he becomes a hero). I think he'd wrote that Hirrud was 'bumbling' and I playfully said, what if it ends with Hirrud taking command of Khor'Minos auxiliary phalanx and leading several assaults on the demon army and becoming a hero (mostly because I think everyone views him, rightly, as pretty scuzzy and a punching bag, but I figure a good non-canon twist, especially a [silly], is fun and fair game. But then, I have a pretty warped sense of humor).
I can't avoid [Cait] getting shoved into every event ever, no matter what I do, and it's annoying.
Yeah, I think the assumption is that she's at least recruited, but you're right, it can be checked and accounted for. Even if not recruited, she's assumed to be hanging around Hawkethorne. Definitely shouldn't be popping up in Centaur Village randomly (though some argument could be made that she's looking for her father, Barnaphous, so maybe she would be wandering, but unlikely). Also, it's easy for some writers to miss things or overlook them, they forget that not every Champ is the same as theirs or made their choices. You wouldn't believe how many good writers and good scenes make simple errors like, 'You paint her in white.' and forget that Champ could be ejaculating honey and they should have [pc.cumColor]'d it. All you can do is spot it when you can (and likely only readers whose Champs cum honey will, since it will seem normal to others). Then you have to make the effort to screenshot, and post it, and hope TeaWolf or one of the other mods gets to it). It won't get fixed if not pointed out.
...
Though in his defense, at least his flavors are actual flavors. Wsan is futadom #3024924, B is just an empty shell with barely the faintest hint of flavor. ...
Obviously I am not disputing your opinion. I can't really agree with the B statement, though. I mean, B did write Zo, and despite her simple style, her interactions and relationship building are unique, as are her scenes and the skills you can learn. I feel the same about Lyric (girl Lyric for me, so always feminine). She's a unique companion you can bring along (I don't use her in combat), and even overlooking the male side for me, I know the kind of work that goes into having to write a scene and always having to do a [lyric.heShe] or [lyric.hisHer] check for every pronoun. Then there's the feeding electrum for fun and filling her out to please, and her interactions with other kobolds. And then Kailani... I can't hate Kailani! It might be mostly due to Moira's artwork, but damn, she rival's Zo unclothed bust in Wow factor (for me, at least. Obviously I don't have to persuade anyone else)! He did up a unique language and style for her (mostly just some native words and such, but still), so I can't agree that it's an empty shell.

Just sharing my thoughts on that part. Not telling you how you need to feel.

Kinda makes the whole process pointless. He probably would've fucked off then and there, then.
"Thank you champion, for bringing me back my girls, and good luck with your own harem, I know you'll do your best", said Hirrud Grunne the legendary fighter from Khor'minos, his shaggy, red hair and long cape flapping in the cold wind while you wonder what harem he is talking about?. Looking back there's only the stalker catgirl who keeps following you, that minotaur bastard who gets every woman you talk to pregnant, the wasp girl who said she loved you only to ask like five minutes later for your help so she could bang Sander's lesbian daughter, this clueless dulahan girl, who now together with the stalker catgirl is sucking the minotaur's cock, the orc woman you helped back then shaking her futa cock at some lady she fucked while her husband looks away and the elven princess that doesn't speak much

Your fox wife is looking at you from the second floor, you never know if she's angry or hungry or horny, she just stays there and... You feel dizzy, you can feel your life fading away and she smiles while you keep wondering, what harem?

Kailani is a solid and Inaya is a good kid, feels a little bit like the thing with Kiyoko/Kinu before unlocking the time sphere

If I were to rate the champion's kids in an order of who I like the most and therefore, might get some shiny treasure from the many things I won't sell, she would be almost at the top

To be fair to the writers, it's somewhat blatant that you're expected to pick her up as soon as the game starts, so it's fair. Kinda makes the thing funnier, too.

Imagine the party travelling to the other side of the map and then Cait has to run the entire trip, through all of the dangers present on her own, just for sex.

Your fox wife is looking at you from the second floor, you never know if she's angry or hungry or horny, she just stays there and... You feel dizzy, you can feel your life fading away and she smiles while you keep wondering, what harem?
"What harem? Like one that's always with me in a camp and..."

The screen starts to shake. Garth looks unamused as the glasses break from the vibration. Brint tries to hide under a table but opens a hole through one with his head. The local whore opens her door to see what's going on, only to get hit on the head by a stuffed cultist head that hung above her. Amidst all that, a clearly Japanese voice says two words.

As it all blows up and a white light engulfs the scene, you can vaguely hear Kiyoko complain. "Ending it with an explosion is so lame!"

Just because it's popular doesn't mean it's good.
There's a popular trend among youngsters to ride a train on the outside of it, to show off how cool they are. Should we be now all heading to the nearest railway station, since such a popular thing can not possibly be bad? Fallacy.
Good or bad never mattered in this conversation.

It was simply a rebuttal to the idea that the game's current subscribers are primarily forgetful subbers and a tacit reminder that a person's own perception is not absolute. Hence saying, "Just because we have grievances (and boy is it my guilty pleasure digging into them) doesn't mean they're absolutely right or that other people share them."

...
Besides, appeal to extremes is a fallacy itself. I don't think I'd equate other people liking a furry porn game we don't like to risking your life on a train for cool points.

and also Cait "Just because I run a temple, doesn't mean I'm gonna change".
Remember when building or not building that temple was going to be some character arc defining moment for Cait related to another incidental fetish?

But for me.... it's a wee bit too much.

Jokes aside, Bimbo's take sexuality to an extreme. Cowgirls are already voluptuous so the logic, I'm assuming anyways, is that she'd have to be truly over the top. I like the hair over the eyes thing. It's my personal kryptonite.

Though now that I'm here, I'm surprised this happened at all.
Last I heard it was cancelled years ago because, "nobody wanted to write it."
I believe this makes Gardeford the literal only person in the writing team that sees projects finished (with effort).

...
Eventually

Was it initiative? Was it a commission? Does it really matter?
Except, I don't even think Hirrud was Gardeford's. That was Savin I'm pretty sure.
In fact the Cat Harem was Savin's too. Finish your projects, Savin. This includes, but is not limited to, the rest of the game, it's been like 8 years.

Anyways I thought Hidda was fine. The scenes were well written and this is the first NPC in the entire game I think that you can transform against their will, so good job Gardeford. I didn't even find the usual nitpicks I like to needle at with bold bleeds, italics, accidental noncoded parsers, etc.

But~

Hmm...
Or put another way.
"I wish I thought as highly of the character as I did the sex scenes."

One of my closest friends has Hirrud as her favorite character, so I was actually planning on writing an expac for him a few years back, but it was promptly vetoed by Savin before I could even get started on it proper. Hirrud isn't really meant to be anything more than a gag character, so outside of Haddi, don't expect him to get anything.

Regarding Cait and the temple, I never build it since her other path is helping her convert to follow Nareva in Tychris, which should be in sometime next year.

Well, this is mildly annoying, if anything. I think it would have been nice to explore the "gag character" more. We all love a good redemption arc, or even as a villain. Certainly would have had the motive instead of the cardboard-cutout cultists absolutely no one cares about.
Am I surprised? Not at all. I just fail to understand the justification considering there's someone who wants to work on a somewhat iconic character rather than introduce another half-baked character that's just gonna be tossed to the back of the pile anyway.
The average observer might just assume it's Savin being petty over Hirrud being liked by part of the community.

Regarding Cait and the temple, I never build it since her other path is helping her convert to follow Nareva in Tychris, which should be in sometime next year.
Well that's big news. Curious what that would entail.
