I don't mean this to be insulting or anything, I really meant what I said earlier about people having their own interpretations! But with that said... I think the fact that you're willing to defend her falsely accusing him of being a rapist, even seeming to believe that it isn't a big deal because the legal system exists, while also believing that the MC telling her off for it is a huge problem, is pretty twisted!

I'm not defending the things she does, I'm defending her loneliness, her difference, her stupidity, and her cute feminine appearance! Her slander and other things are clearly wrong, but even in real life, it would have more layers of verification before it turned into something that directly harmed MC, and clearly MC has too many supporters and allies to protect him, so it doesn't affect him at all! Meanwhile, the psychological blows MC gives Rachel are only borne by her alone in loneliness and despair (In real life, it's extremely terrible, but in this game, it unreasonably reduces MC's ability to conquer women, instead turning him into an arrogant and merciless person.
He has too much power, Rachel has nothing! It would be normal if you didn't use the narration lines calling the MC "you" meaning us the players! Because this would simply be us watching a movie! But because you made the players roleplay as if we were the MC, so the players like me feel confused why I have such overwhelming power but have to be so petty and angry and destroy a stupid girl who is trying to hurt me so weakly.

I really hope you will give us some possibilities to choose how to interact to really feel like MC or change the way of narration to make Cosy cafe true to the nature of a story or movie where players just sit and watch, it will be more reasonable! This is a great VN so I have strong feelings for the characters!

So can being mean to anyone in any way at any time. It is entirely unfair to assign the responsibility of making sure Rachel doesn't kill herself onto people she interacts with, that is her own personal problem.

You would have more of an argument if we were talking about Rachel's parents or somone with some duty of care towards Rachel, but Rachel has been nothing but upleasant towards us (the MC) and we owe her nothing but the same ire in return.

Mr. Gilbert already confessed what he did and that the target was the Hammilton's not the Bennett's and has told Cathrine that.
she just didn't believe him being all defensive about it.

the bonding through the shared punishment is shown already in their 1st real session where they just chill on the couch afterwards,Hannah was clearly more troubled by all that at the time and Cathrine noticed it and didn't push it or use it.
i'd say Cathrine has already started seeing her as just Hannah and not a Gilbert who (supposedly) ruined her family.

heh give them a task to do together with no further instructions then the task itself and come back 5min later you'll have plenty off reasons by then.

• Planning the next FF meeting: The most logical way to tie up some loose ends is to have Akatsuki's family assist with catering - that way, Akatsuki can start talking to her dad again, a bit.
• Sexy times with Sarah and possibly Cat. The former, because she is now officially a GF, the latter because she catches (even more) feelings and maybe starts working her way down the contract list.
• Annabelle (who isn't actually a klutz, but rather seems to shut down mentally when nervous (around the MC), IMO) will probably be introduced somewhat and the MC orders spare/plastic plates and glasses preemptively.
• Getting closer to Allison. Primarily emotionally, possibly physically.
• Akari possibly sends pics now that she has an excuse. Or at least opens up a more regular line of communication for teasing purposes.

i loved that scene too. it was such a good use of this VN style medium. the "show, dont tell" works wonders in that scene. i know the mc still has his inner monologue but the facial expressions and body language of each of them said a lot.

and even if they playfully bicker like Victoria and Sara im sure the mc can find an excuse to have some fun with them together. he is the master after all

That would only backfire because the first thing she would say to anyone asking is how MC wanted to rape her.

I know it goes against the MCs character but I kind of hope we send Akari an absolutely filthy picture of us and Akatsuki just before our next cooking challenge.

Let's see how good a cook she is when she can't even make eye contact with her sister. Fighting fair is fighting stupid and all that.

Hey guys, it's dev log time again!

As usual at this point in the cycle, I'm gonna be spending all of my time rendering for the next couple of months, so there won't be much to report. I'll keep checking in here as usual, though!

So, the last couple of weeks have been busy as ever. I mentioned in the previous dev log that I was struggling to get all my rendering mods updated and working together, and was contemplating sticking with the old setup if it all turned into a big ordeal. Well, it took a good week of work and testing, including updating every single character model (one for every outfit, not just one for each girl), but I finally got it all functioning.

I'm really glad I spent the time doing it - the improvements may not jump out and smack you in the face, but I feel like everything is a good 10-20% nicer, especially the lighting and shadows, without any increse in time/effort required to make the renders compared to the old ones. So a solid win in my book!

After getting that all sorted, I've also made a good start on the renders for 0.13, having completed around 200 over the last week. I expect this to be another 2000 render update, so those are the first of many!

And that's all there is to say for this one! As usual, thank you for your support; I always appreciate it! I'll speak to you again in a couple of weeks, with what I'm sure will be an even shorter dev log!

If you refer to the last couple of pages, those are in reaction to someone starting the discussion with trying to absolve Rachel from every wrong doing. Of course the answers to that will focus on pointing out her bad aspects. Doesn't mean everyone hates her, it's just that if someone takes a very one-sided stance people will usually react with the opposite. Don't take that as a an actual picture of how people like or dislike her.

Aside from that I'd argue it's a good thing if people dislike Rachel right now. She was clearly written to be annoying and to be disliked, so people having the reaction they are supposed to means the writing achieved what it wanted. Also it means the redemption arc and payoffwill be greater once it happens (although of course the more disliked the character is the better the writing has to be in order to turn the audience around. But considering everything we got so far I'd say we don't have to worry about that being pulled off successfully)

I like to believe the Dev has something special in mind for her. The 3 main girls already green lit anything the MC wants to do to her. I think it will happen in the next update.
