If they story stays good and intresting, and doesn't end up with too many more disappointing subplots, IE the stolen tickets, then who cares if it is still going till 2030, assuming the dev hasn't been killed along with allof us in some end of the world shit.
TBF I was never that interested in the stolen tickets subplot, unless it was made to introduce a side girl like Annabelle.
There are probably other subplots with potential to be more interesting than that.

I'll admit I was a little worried with the domination aspect for a bit as it's not really a thing I'm into But, damn! You made the MC come off as dominant while still being a loving, caring man. A wonderful blend of strength and kindness.. I am completely sold on this story without getting in the Family issues. Looking forward to more, especially hoping a few side girls will eventually have their moments with the MC.

Oh come on, 2030? That's rich. You act like good things are supposed to just magically drop overnight. Quality takes time and this isn’t a microwave dinner. But hey, feel free to keep checking the calendar like it owes you something. We’ll be over here enjoying the wait... kinda.
What I mean is that if the dev keeps adding meaningless subplots and keeps the "day by day" in-game schedule, it will be years before seeing an actual story progress.

Well maybe its just not for you, but what you describe has been the focus of Cosy Cafe almost since the beginning and imo it's what makes this story great: every girl has its own story and there is also focus on their relationship with the MC and the other girls that will eventually be part of the harem, if you start cutting those subplots it would lose half the charm. The only thing I would agree it has been meaningless overall is the whole ticket prize resolution.

The whole ruling founding families plot is probably going to be the endgame, I don't expect us to be a full player in politics until almost the end when we actually know what happened with our grandfather and finally get our revenge.

I get what you mean, but maybe I am being misinterpreted. What I don't like is the extreme slow pacing with the events. Take the upcoming goth weekend, two whole days of event (maybe even splitted into two updates), what's the point of it? Sumarize it in a couple hundred renders or so and move on. To see the meeting with the Headmistress mother (if I remember correctly) we will have to wait at least 6-7 updates. It would be better, instead of a day-by-day, to have timeskips of 2-3 days once in a while to focus on the meaningful events.

I'm willing to bet that a lot of the avid fans of Cosy Cafe appreciate the slow slice of life pace that's going on because it gives us more time with each LI. It just sounds like you want a TLDR version of the VN and if so I'd just wait for it to be done and skip through the sections you don't like.

Well, I enjoy the kinky stuff, but in general I am more of a plot kind of guy.

I generally enjoy more plot focused stories over slice of life stuff as well. So I was rather surprised I enjoyed this as much as I did.

I think it actually manages to blend the 2 types together pretty well, with the day to day focus on slice of life and relationships but also having an actual plot happening and moving along at a reasonable pace.

Most games I've played that try to do both end up getting the balance way off, usually with far too much on the slice of life side. After a certain point it's like they forget they set up an overarching plot to begin with and it stalls out into nothing for ages.

So while I generally prefer a faster moving plot I think what Cosy has going here works great for this game. It being a rare story that pulls off both the day to day and overall plot aspects fairly well without one side feeling like it's being neglected.

I'd say me too but Cosy hits different.

Typically you get an extreme. Either the game tells a story and forgets it's an AVN (which honestly, sometimes I don't mind) or it goes hard into LIs and forgets there was a plot.

This is one of the few I feel does well in both regards. There's plenty of time with the LIs so I'm connecting with them but the main plot moves along at a pace I can appreciate. Since we're day to day, it makes sense that occasionally the MC can just relax and be with his girls without having to worry about who's trying to manipulate who or which gala he has to attend.

Just had time to play the update, story is still awesome, new development by some of the characters which makes the characters more interesting and wonder about their kinks. Wishlist more stocking, more sexy dessous, maybe some pussy licking and more King game. ;)(y)

I feel like the main plot, the founding family stuff and the characters getting through school, wouldn't mean anything without the "meaningless" subplots.
The characters all get development during these subplots, for instance the ticket book thing, we got tons of character development from that whole ordeal. How the girls deal with that situation in different ways, how it inadvertently brought MC and Hannah closer together, a major development in the Rachel situation.

As others have said, the day to day "slice of life" of this VN is what draws most people in. The plot is good too, but the characters and relationships are the important things to most people I have seen who come to the thread.

You mean the dinner date with the Headmistress, where Founding Family stuff is off the table for the night? The thing that will happen in the very next update (.13)? Such a slow pace...
No, I don't remember exactly since it has been a while, but I am referring to a meeting with someone related to the Headmistress' father about the plan to make them reconcile. In the last update the meeting was scheduled for the "next week". That's why I am talking about 6-7 updates (since each update rarely covers more than one day).

We're almost a month into the story and there's been 12 updates. Even the most recent update was 2 days. The only reason .11 covered 1 day is because of how massive it was, combined with all the other stuff going on like the UI change.

Reading all these comments in the last several hours, I just am left wondering, what are you looking for in a game? This game isn't really a slice of life game, as the minutia of daily life is really left out. Yes the characters go to school, but the boring stuff goes by in a quick scene/click and then the actual content happens. The MC is not sitting on the toilet, doing paperwork for many clicks, etc. Everything that is done progresses the story. Each day there are 2-5 events which happen, to progress a girl's story, or the overarching FF story. There are some fun things along the way like the Cosplay stuff in the Cafe. Most people like the girls playing dress-up and seeing them in different costumes. I also am seeing comments on how the resolution of the ticket book was "anticlimactic" Well I disagree. While yes, it was Rachel who stole it, as predicted by many, her punishment scene was very emotional, and setting up her redemption arc. Anyways .. overall I don't see much wasted content here. There is not long 15 minute internal expositions about a situation. The MC has a conversation, and the story moves on. It is a complex story, with many moving parts, and years worth of mapped out story. Most people like that.

To be honesty the way Cosy is telling the story and the speed of the updates is what I wish a lot more of the VN on this site would do, tell the story they want to tell rather than write the next big chose your own adventure. Not only does it tend to make the story flow better as the MC will maintain a pretty consist personality throughout the story, but it also keeps the updates coming easier, rather than the developer having to work out every possible solution to every choice they put out and extending release times.

MC being inconsistent in choice based games is the main straw for me too, like in a way, we are all kinetic, we can't change who we are at least not easily but these choice based games, turn giga chads into pussies in one play through and pussies into giga chads in another playthrough so easily, and that kinda kills the vibe for me. Like MC is just a robot made to follow the players command otherwise he's totally soulless void of any limitations of his own.
