RPGM - Completed - Countryside Life [v2.0] [PictorCircus]

This game is an absolute middling one.

What I liked:
- game concept
- character designs
- pixel art

What I didn't like:
- lack of depth, both plot and game
- H-scenes are missing something
- little amount of content that just needs to be grinded

Result:
This game cannot be called bad, but at the same time, there are many similar games which are much better done. It took me 3 hours to complete the game. If you value your time, then there are many games that are better than this one.

I played this game for an hour and eventually got bored and skipped.

+ Graphics are nice and the soundtrack is soothing, gives the vibes of a countryside. And that's the only positive thing I could find for this game.

- The game is very repititive and the scenes you repeatedly have to go through to progress your affinity with the characters are long and can't really be skipped other than running through the dialogue not in a fast way
- The writing is pretty bad. Everybody willing to do whatever you ask, no anticipation, no build up, no dialogue, nothing.

Ntt the greatest game ever made, but it's fun enough for a few hours. I need to type like 200 characters even though there's not a lot to say about this game so... I wish the game had pregnancy? I guess, though it's incest and thats... a whole can of worms.

A fairly standard point and click relationship builder harem game. It doesn't necessarily do anything better than other games, but it's pretty solid all around. The art is good, the pacing isn't bad, and there's enough characters to romance that it covers a few different types of pairings. It's been a while since I played it last, but I do recall the grinding for resources/gifts gets a little tedious, but it's not overwhelmingly slow.

Pros:
- Decent amount of Heroines to encounter (8 i believe)
- Gameplay was nice as I don't come side scroller environments as often *not a side scroller just the environment*
- Music choices alright heard some Sharou? and their pieces are always nice to come by.
- 5 endings to an average plot not bad I enjoyed the 4 heroine endings pretty alright (rina s tier)
-H-Scenes good amount for everyone but could've been way better

Cons:

- H-scenes were lacking a lot - sure some of they had some voice lines but it felt way too robotic or computerized to add any value to them. The only voice lines that felt genuine(?) were Haruka's and even then I preferred the other heroines. The animations were moreso GIFS no offense to the dev.

= H-scenes replayability lacking - After the 1st or 2nd time it just feels like a grind for their affection to get the better scenes. The only amount of love I feel that the characters given was mostly Rina.

-plot- summer vacation at a cousin's house were you get to fuck- plot is average nothing to write home about. It's about the same plot other reviewers mention or discuss in the thread.

- Build-up/World-Building- nothing to piggyback off of from the plot you'd think with so many characters there would be some interaction or the build up to h-scenes just felt like a cg gallery towards the end of it.


TL;DR;

H-scenes aren't anything to download the game for. Plot nothing crazy. Felt like a game the developer was experimenting for the experience. I don't regret playing it, but I was hoping it was gonna be better than the reviews were talking about.

I spent 2 and a half hours playing this game and I deeply regret it. The game is grindy as fuck, and it doesn't even make the grind fun or at least entertaining. To increase their affection, you have to do one task over and over again or fuck them multiple times a day. The scenes don't change, so you'll be staring at the same thing over and over again for 2 hours or so.

I've finished the game, and it seems that there are time sensitive events that you can activate after you let a certain number of days pass, but honestly it's not worth it at all. You'll want to finish this game fast since it's boring as fuck and there's little to no story telling.

You can unlock the complete gallery, including the endings. once you finish the game, so I recommend you go for one character you like and stick with that ending. The art is nice, sure, but it seriously isn't worth it to spend more than an hour on this game.

Your typical countryside game, typical story and typical characters there's nothing that makes this game stand out, well maybe the multiple ending that it has but other games have that as well, the gameplay is well, the typical rpgm gameplay, its really average but entertaining in the end.
7/10, it could have been better but its not bad either.

The game has a lot of content, the graphics are standard for a Japanese RPGM project. Slightly weird movement animations. Full of scenes. And game also contains fucking grind. Toward the end, it's very annoying

It's like Summer Memories except worse in pretty much every way imaginable. Do yourself a favor and play that instead. Gameplay and story elements are severely lacking and tedious.

If you do want to play this, highly recommend just unlocking the gallery and viewing some scenes there as you aren't missing out on anything.

Animation of the main character's run horrible to see, a grind and repetitive game like few others, practically 0 gameplay.
You simply have to go around increasing the relationship with the characters (which is always seen and appreciated in many other games) but always doing the usual things and the usual dialogues.
Needless to say, it's boring. More female characters but they can't interact with each other, it's basically a story between MC and one of your chosen girls.

Not gonna lie .. this is deep in a whole new meaning I love how they brought back the cute mc as a cameo into this game and I truly love the scenes and animation and hopefully waiting for more to come and surprise me even more I do love this type of cheeriness and adequate timing. P.s. PLEASE MAKE MORE IT IS THE BEST .. I play it after I finish working at nursing and I think of this as a great game and hopefully a sequel and cameo again if that would be reasonable.

Short and simple game with pixel art. I played only to get grey haired girl scenes. Got bored after about 2h of grind. There isn't much content but it was alright. Can't rate it much higher since there are tons of better shota pixel art games out there.

“It's an easy game, easy girls, easy life”
Pretty much what summarized a Japanese summer break in countryside theme games.

Apart from slowpoke, non skip-able, stuck in a time loop sex scenes.

There's nothing much to complain about.

I think everyone else has covered the reviews pretty well, the only thing I didn't read that I wish I would have is that this game is very much female-dom oriented. Not that you're being degraded or anything, but the females are definitely the dominant roles in all of the sexual interactions. I.e. MC is either indifferent or interested in sex and the females take charge and have nervous MC fuck them... it's fine, I just wish there was some scenes with MC leading, or maybe mutual nervousness...

this is a type of game that only need 30 min to complete but its extended to 3-4 hours play for the sake of griding their fav....
u will be get bored very fast to up their favorite since u need to do the same exact action so many time...
while the animation is quite good since i like this kind of game (ex: summer memories), but the effort to grind for the scene isnt worth your time...

Summer Memories alike game, simple and quick to graspe. It is a short game for those who are feeling bore of its usual game and want some break. It has potential followed by imperfection, perhaps the dev is pressed in time, so sound are missalign with animation and just 1 type of mini game. That's all, enjoy your blissfull day!

It's a pretty small nice game with concept of Summer Memories.
I enjoyed playing it through, even though it's really small in game play and content compared to famous Summer Memories, I find it still nice and with more games like that would come out.
Graphics are good, scenes are mainly pixel 2d with one big animation for the last sex scene for each character.
Multiple endings, nothing special.

I enjoyed this. Fun little game with loads of grinding, but it is OK... it was done in a way where you could level up with one or the other character. So constant progression. No anal with any characters which is a huge minus, other than that not a bad game solid 4 in my book.

This game looks like if Tissubox' works met Summer Memories. Except, it's not nearly as good as these.

Countryside Life has a feature to unlock the gallery right away. So why would you play the game in the first place? Usually for its content, right? Well, this time there is not much content beside ecchi stuff. No interesting plot, no gameplay, no minmaxing strategy, no problems to solve, no stuff to explore. You go fishing, you make yourself some food, you fuck the girls until you fall on the ground. The game plays more like a gallery itself, not even a visual novel.

The art would be good... if it was static. The animation looks like it's made by stretching instead of drawing. I can understand why the artist wouldn't like to draw detailed animated scenes, but the stretch animation looks so uncanny to me I wouldn't mind static images instead. The girls are cute and scenes are fine beside the aforementioned.

And lastly, the game is pretty small. There are few scenes for each girl, some endings and that's it. Suprisingly little character interaction. No story or character development - these are the aspects that make the player care for the characters they are interacting with.

Overall, this title is as average as one could get. Fishing minigame isn't even as annoying in some other titles.
The game saves you time to allow unlocking the gallery wich any sane human being should do and just enjoy the drawings! You won't miss out on anything particularly cool, so do yourself a favour and save some time. Scenes are worth looking at, just not worth playing for.

The costco version of Summer Memories. Gameplay was uninteresting and all the running around and grinding got me bored real quick.

That being said, I'm only here for the porn, and while the SFX is poorly executed with the same sounds and moans played on a continuous cycle that hurt my eardrums, the pixel art itself is pretty good.

I recommend just making a new save game, and using that save file to enter the recollection room and unlock everything for your viewing pleasure. Why bother playing the game, which the dev clearly didn't put much effort into, and enjoy the animations which is the point of these games instead?

Go figure.
