Here's this month's update from the contributor team and myself! This update's main focus is Harvest Eve, a holiday at the end of Gourdtober and the game's first seasonal event. During the last week of Gourdtober, a seasonal pop-up shop will appear to sell costumes. Through the week, more and more people will get into the spirit, culminating in a Harvest Eve party on Friday.
The People dialog also got some UI improvements, you now have the ability to save cosmetics sets, and there are miscellaneous clothes and other new items.
Character descriptions also got an update, with the appearance of distinguishing features on NPCs and the ability to pick several of these for your PC. To look at the new options, you can now re-customize your PC on the Character Appearance screen if you have either NPC customization or cheats turned on.

- The statuses of NPCs (such as relationship and whether they’re at your current location) are now revealed through icons in the People dialog (contributed by Drakon)
- Favoriting a person now places them in their own tab in the People dialog, in addition to the previous phone contact functionality
- There is now a special action outside locations with business hours to wait around until they open if it’ll be within the hour (contributed by Drakon)
- Added the classic position of servicing somebody underneath a desk or table
- Integrated a round of contributed clothing (contributions by litey, RyDog)
- Added some new plush animals and non-animals to the machine in the arcade
- Added the ability to wear masks and lots of costume pieces
- Added the Specter Jester popup store, which will sell costume pieces in the last week of Gourdtober
- Added an event where a friend informs you about Harvest Eve week and the costume shop
- NPCs will wear costumes on the last week of Gourdtober, with more getting into the spirit as the week goes on
- NPCs in costume may be mostly anonymized, depending on how much they’re obscured
- The last week of Gourdtober culminates in the Harvest Eve party on Friday, with two available contests and various events
- Added some requested cosmetics colors
- You can now save cosmetics selections, similar to how saving outfits works
- The bulletin board saga continues! (contributed by Meat Glacier)
- Added some books (contributions from Meat Glacier, Trash Queen, and Cadia Creations)
- Also added a couple Harvest Eve only books
- The number of people at your current location is now displayed within the People button on the left sidebar
- Added a few birds to the selection of pets
- You can now learn an NPC’s sexual orientation, and it will be displayed in the information about them
- NPCs now have one distinguishing feature to help set them apart
- You can also choose some distinguishing features for your PC, either during character generation or, in an ongoing game, the next time you sleep in your dorm room
- Added several new description options
- You can now choose to re-customize your character mid-game in the Character Appearance screen if you have NPC customization on or cheats enabled (it’s pretty cheaty! But it’s also the way to set your new options)
- At character generation, you can now choose up to five each of turnons and turnoffs
- Added some shelf decor
- Added trophy shelf and the ability to display trophies (though they only exist for the Harvest Eve contests currently)
- Many fixes and tweaks
