I restart the game 2 times to get a feel of it before venturing deep, and each time is only 1 week. I like to understand stuff so, being surrounded by strangers whom I know nothing off is unacceptable.
So, both times I collected as much names and information of NPC as possible for the whole week.
The result of after 1 week of hard work is...
I found myself surrounded by NPC whose names I know, but is unable to differentiate them…
I also found that some NPC had accumulated dislikes for me due to reason unknown... until later when… my roommate accused me of seducing his boyfriend…
I like to collect stuff and that includes phone numbers. Some NPC refuse to provide numbers until relationship with them are higher.
Compliment and chat are the way to improve relationship, but sometimes these fails due to inclination and your style and I found out flirting always works… Some NPC are willing to give numbers after 1 flirt and flirting becomes my main weapon.
Of those that are unwilling to provide numbers are actually NPC with girlfriends or boyfriends, so to collect their numbers I had been flirting with them quite a bit and this results in hostility with their partners…
On this 3rd try, I will only focus to know my classmates, professors, co-workers and those NPC with special description like the bold bus girl or the big dick bus guy etc.
But NPC with special description only reveal their unique description after I ask them their names… so maybe this can be changed in future version since I should already know the bold girl on the bus without learning her name?
This way I save time and know only whom I need to know.
One suggestion: like the co-worker, professor icon, add an icon for classmates and icon for unique NPC and bosses and students vs townfolks? This way we can differentiate NPC more easily when you only see their names and a few NPC uses the same names.
