Anyone else get a bug where the baron stops showing up in the throne room? I only see him his bedroom when he's sleeping so I'm unable to talk to him at all.

Edit: Probably unrelated, but I also have the quest objective to talk to the shaman leader after learning about slave with the other goblin, but talking to the shaman leader doesn't give an option that finishes the quest

I noticed that the preview for version 17 mentioned hypnosis, but I didn't find any related content in version 0.17.2

Its actually easy to get it to run in Linux. On this machine I'm running Linux Mint, but this works in Archlinux and Fedora too, and probably others.

Or you could just add the game to a launcher like Heroic and start the game from there, works the same.

Not exactly. Heroic will run it through wine/proton, cicpoff will mount it and basically recreate the runtime environment (through nwjs, rpgmaker uses javascript behind the scenes) and run it natively. Should it make a difference? Technically no.

However, if I run a game through wine/bottles and compare its run through cicpoff...yeah, there's a hell of a difference. On my laptop I get a smoother framerate and far less cpu load using cicpoffs (my laptop is ~8 cpu generations old, so it's literally the difference between max fan speed and basically nothing). Trying out wine/bottles/heroic on the steamdeck uses around 1-2W more power than cicpoffs, but well within it's ability to keep it silent and without lag in either case.

That said, do whatever you're comfortable with. I aim for battery life, so cipoff in most cases.

Actually now that you've tried heroic, can you confirm that some game elements are broken, or is it just me? I have older save files, so that could also be the problem, not sure. Basically when I try to talk with any npc, the dialogue closes before it even starts, so no progression of any kind. I haven't had the time to try these saves on windows.

That's some tall tales! Would be great if true, though.
Tall tales? meaning the 5.5 years or finish in 1 year? Here's a blog I wrote in 2022 about hitting my two year mark. As for when I hit the 1.0, I think 1 year is a reasonable target. I have 3 artists and 2 animators working round the clock on this project.
