Overview:
One fateful day, in a remote alley of Sumairu-Urbem, a little girl is kidnapped and sent to an Underground Prison for death matches... Nuevo Faredo's Prison.
Your mission, as a retired mentor, is to train her in using her new energies and protect her so she does not die in her first official fight, while searching for a way to secure her freedom.
Hundreds of inmates are brought in every year, and hundreds more are left forgotten beneath the cold earth.
Will you be able to protect her while strengthening your party to root out the evil that plagues the inmates' hearts? ~~I believe in your judgment.~~

With that overview, I'm expecting to welcome death to everyone that cross my path. I can't really see the preview pictures currently though. So it's hard to tell the direction the game will go without playing.

I noticed this project has both male and female pro-tag's, and I have not played or even downloaded this title. Can the player only play as a male pro-tag, or are we forced to play as a female as well? (...I'm not a interested in female pro-tag titles, so I'm looking for some clarification.)

It would certainly be nice if the game overview said a bit more about who the protagonist is than just 'retired mentor'.

Are they an actual character in the game that interacts with the others, or just a vague framing device for the training/management? If they're a real character are they a set guy, or girl, or do you get to choose? Is the story told exclusively through them or are occaisional parts where one of these 'party members' takes the spotlight and thats why it has male and female? I don't get why so many games play so coy and mysterious about one of the most key aspects!
