Agreed. Currently it's a bit of a nightmare to sort through "platformers" that don't really match that definition.

Am I a fucking idiot? I'm stuck and I can't progess any more through the Deep jungle whatever. The plant biome. Everywhere seems out of reach and every full map I look at has areas that need ledge grabs or wall jumps that I can't do.

You need to find some gloves (those allow you to grab ledges (and wall jump iirc)). I don't remember the exact location, but it should be somewhere mid or high area. Try shooting blue plants to create diagonal platforms.

I have no clue what these blue plants that make platforms are. I swear I've shot every pixel I can on the whole map lmao.

EDIT: Nevermind. Killing the pink woman made the brown plants turn blue. I think they really should've made it clear that she was the source of the pink fog. Just a lil' dialogue saying 'Hey! This might be it' or something. Since I was so focused on progressing I kept running past every enemy I could. My bad.

Do people actually write like that in erotic fiction? I mean... I've been dabbling in AI chatbots ERP and they write exactly this way, which gets really stale after a while. Which makes me wonder, whether this game used AI writing for this part, or whether they used this style as a reference/mocking of such purple prose, or perhaps it's the other way around and people actually do write this way and it's AI who mimicks them due to training.

That particular entry was one of the first written for the game, as Tentacles were A Thing from near the start. It's not AI.

RPG Maker's actually quite competent with the ability to code your own stuff in the recent versions. Check out Nyaruru Fishy Fight on Steam. It's basically a Rabi-Ribi-like made in MZ.

What you read isn't (mostly) hate, it's frustration. I like this game, I want this game to succeed but seeing it follow the exact same path as other games that I liked that have been abandoned pisses me off.

A game discussion thread isn't just about praising the dev and sucking his dick in every post, people are allowed to vent their frustrations related to the game and it's development.

Watching the progress of this, I can almost see it going the same route that Future Fragments took. It's sad and I'm on the frustrated users' sides

Future Fragments was fully completed and got a Steam release, that's a good thing isn't it? Unless I'm missing something as I never followed FF too closely

Last time I checked and found out it released, there were a bunch of replies saying most levels in the last area were incomplete or empty (not worth buying at that time). Probably a rushed up work to meet a deadline or something (I've yet to try and play FF again).

they released but there's major missing content and stuff still
they're still releasing regular updates at least
also the start 1-3 areas are almost complete so people cand probably play those just fine

When they released the game, it was like they just glued all of the demos together and called it a day, the whiplash from what seems about 10-15 minutes of cutscenes between the third and fourth level was crazy, cause you're suddenly fighting a main character without any lead up
