So, the only H about the battles is the art of the cards which get picked automatically?

Don't ask the mercenary to help you(the guy on the side), it's a bug.

no, you have to choose from the 3 you see, and yes there is no other H in the battle, there was an idea but removed, you can see a few cut out scene in the recollection room bottom left

For ppl wondering why game feels so wierdly rushed or unfinished or remade in last minute - its cuz it was. Dev had falling out with company that was suposed to write code and help in development, turned out they did nothing all this time and just fed him excuses and lies. Then there was some kind of battle about ownership of the game as the company owned the cien acc. Whatever frankenstein monster we got is not what game was meant to be, huge let down.

That's quite unfortunate. You can see a lot of the writing from the last game in it so I am slowly getting a tad disappointed if the game wasn't laid out like they wanted it to.

Just playing the game as normal, when fighting the brainwashed girl boss the card will be obtained.

I love how the ending can be chosen last minute without feeling forced, highlight that the true ending is the matter of choice, not situation. They went really hard for that ending because collecting pieces of the "Forbidden one" to turn Professor X into a Stand User never gonna happen in my wildest dream.
That being said, it's a bit sad that the game turn into another "Phantom Pain" situation. Although it's not that much (an entire Bar area, the slum, hospital room, the shrine, battlefuck, a few minor endings, fortune teller, some functions of the room,...)
Really hope they keep the deck building in the next game.
