Can you complete the 250k truthseeker quest without using self-destructive stance? I'm trying my best to follow Dumont's route so I can't meet Jackal/stand guard.

I think you would need a whole bunch of MOL upgrades for focus and stamina so you can spam those actions without sleeping. Also lots of charisma and academics MOL upgrades too. Technically possible, but you would need to be very very rich in MOL

Getting the balanced stance from beating Paladin should make it easier? Should give +35 stamina worth of goal progress, I think?

I tested out getting MYP real early (before kidnapping) and wow, it's making a difference. There's a bunch of days where I have larceny kit + generous equipped to deal with Hashimoto's goal that leads to tower. Swapped out some actions, got MYP, then got charisma 1 so the buff actually applied

2.0 > 2.1 modifier. Which kinda sounds worthless, but it gave me just enough of a buff that I barely managed a vitality lvl up, which gave more stamina from resting and let me do 2 extra stamina worth of tower, which led to 6 lvls in academics instead of the usual 5. Then the day before the kidnapping, I spend all actions on focus and got a bunch more, which increased my kidnapping goal progress (with larceny kit + generous) from 8.1k to over 11k

Unfortunately I have to use eye catching attire and DuMunt Mansion actions to lower my stamina enough that I can't complete the goal, because I do need her kidnapped to meet Lancia. I'm just waiting for that future update with an alternative way to meet Lancia

Also for some reason Heilig's relation bar is visible even though I haven't unlocked her or met Jackal yet

I'd imagine you would need some significant MoL investments to make it possible without self destructive. Regardless you don't *need* to be MoL efficient when you're hunting for route scenes and stuff like that. Infact most route requirements are usually counter-intuitive to getting MoL and completing feats. Probably better to do each of those things in a seperate loop. One thing I do is start a loop with the objective of getting to a particular scene and then save on the day that scene would trigger. Kinda made a pseudo gallery collecting different savefiles like that xD

Hopefully future updates will develop alternate paths depending on the route. Sucks to think you have to die because you're trying to follow someone's route.

My guess is changes like those based on routes would happen after the dev is probably done with a good chunk of the actual base plot. Right now we're at what would probably be equivalent to chapter 2, and there are placeholder scenes in there too. But yeah I'm really interested for the time when there are actual choices to make that significantly change the story for that loop, with multiple different routes that all lead to their own story. As of now there is only really one story 'route' you can take. One of the things I am most interested in is seeing how CSDev would work on the timeline where you manage to actually prevent Tanaka's kidnapping. Right now it just means Tanaka stays in College town for that loop without much flavor text but it'd be very interesting if unique stuff happened in that route.

Oh is that what happens? I assumed greater progress meaned you're able to grab an increasingly larger portion of the kidnapper suits until you've entirely ripped off the uniform they're wearing.

Adding on, you also get MYP progress from loitering in the mornings.

I imagine it will probably be something like you ripped a pocket and their wallet fell out, but I like the mental image of you ripping off the entire suit like something out of a comedy just because its so absurd.

Up to you, really. It's good, also gets better the higher your charisma lvl and your relation lvls. Since it buffs both the relation's stat buff and goal progress buff

The worthiness calculation goes something like

How early are you in the loop? (how much time you have left to grind stats, and how many goals left that might be impacted by this)
How many days will it take to complete? (if it takes something like 10 days, you're probably better off spending that time on the academics charisma feedback loop instead)
How much MOL upgrades did you do for Focus (Yumeno Game Dev action), Academics, Charisma, and the action result is increased by hp cost upgrade (for causing trouble in Metropolis, cause you can scale it up to give 100 times more finance xp than any of DuMont's stuff)

You also don't have to do all of MYP at once. Look at your focus lvl, then do MYP 1, or MYP 1 and 2, do a bit of academics + charisma grinding, a day or two of focus grinding, then MYP 3, etc. That's what I used to do before I realized farming Ruler feat was better for MOL

I spent 1.472 million MOL on the upgrades

Also I finally finished the loop where I got MYP 1 before the kidnapping. Went from 1.9k MOL to 2k MOL per loop. Here's the save file if you want to take a look at the path

The Ruler feat in College Town also bugged once I completed it 10 times. Ruler goal 11 was not locked

Also got 7k progress from failing to prevent the kidnapping, then completed both hire Jackal and complete the investigation goals in one action. It did not show the cutscene for the investigation finishing, only the hiring scene. It's kinda funny to think I walked in, paid Jackal to investigate for me, but then dumped all the kidnapper's belongings on the table and went, "Sooo... I got his ID, driver's license, everything here. Now please search them up. I dunno how to use a computer."

I did suspect that message had words in it but I assumed it was a hash code for verification purposes.

1.5 million mol is insane, but it's good to know ruler 10+ doesn't need you to fly back to metropolis. Waiting for version f with likely 1-day jet travel to streamline the process Also I'm still not too sure how the game determines when you complete that quest multiple times simultaneously and the last time I tried something I messed up the double completion.

I think it's a bug, cause College Town Ruler 11 is not locked, but Metropolis Ruler 11 is locked

Even if I want to take advantage of it, it's already around day 90 by then and my power MOL upgrade is not high enough

You could just fight paladin early with some wetworks and body armor? This works for me

I have found another bug. This one also related to pausing auto with mouse click. Though instead of messing up the list of actions for each day, it seemed to remove the completion of an action. I got some new text in DuMont's scene about how I didn't walk Tanaka home, which... I did??? Or at least auto-me should've done it, I checked the planner and yup, walked her home the previous day

Seems like ? is an invalid character for save file name, or there's a max character length limit. Tried to save a file as "d2 generous early?" and it didn't save

Also, I broke the game. Well, this save file. I got finance 1 to use generous start of day 4, then at day 6 game froze at the end of a cutscene. Rebooting it doesn't work, game takes up a lot of processing power launching then just closes itself. Restarting the computer doesn't fix it. Removing this save file does fix it

Edit: tried going down that path again with the new save and it broke again

Also what's the difference between the default action choice setting and the default routine choice setting?

So I improved my MOL per 100 day loop from 2,057 to 2,058. Let it auto for some days, then got MOL upgrades and improved it to 2,067. Started another loop on auto, then paused auto because I had to shut down my computer. Came back and finished the loop with auto, getting 2,017. I assumed that's just auto bugging out again and skipping a day with ruler feat in it. Loaded an earlier save, auto, still 2,017. Redid it manually, improved it too, got 2,069. Auto (without pauses), 2,019 MOL

I uhhh, have no idea why the game is freaking out. There shouldn't be a max MOL cap? Since I was getting over 2.5k when staying in Metropolis up to day 250

I am completing Truthseeker on the same day as the ruler feat, but it's never been a problem in the past. Only now that I've passed 2,058 MOL

Could be related to that College Town Ruler 11 action being unlocked while the Metropolis counterpart wasn't completed yet? But that wasn't a problem up until now either. It didn't suddenly disappear 50 of my MOL when I used auto in the past

After some more thinking. I guess it could be related to the game breaking when I got finance 1 and used generous days 4 to 6? I deleted that save and haven't done it again, but there could be side effects? Reinstalled the game, transferred the save files. Still missing 50 MOL

My guess is routine refers to your stances, diet and stuff while actions are well... your actions.

While improving my loop, I found the new Jet option, so I used it on Day 56, then lost all of Day 57 to a bug? My only choice was to click next as it went through the actions of the last loop, the screen was still stuck on the flight options, but the text box said stuff like "you greeted your recruits, +50 MOL", etc. Now I'm on Day 58

On one hand, I did not want to spend an hour redoing my whole loop again to include traveling by Jet, on the other hand it's bugged, so... I guess I'll get around to it when it's patched

Edit: I see that the dev mentioned it was bugged. I forgot about it because I didn't have the spare actions to complete charity goal for get the job until now
