Was looking though my bookmarks and found this, added to my bookmarks back in 2022. This is still not done?

I completely forgot about this.
Of course not, this seem to be a huge game in the first place so for it to roll over to us it also needs to go through adaptation and TL.
We're looking at 2026 at the earliest.:coffee:

I keep forgetting about this series.
Then when it pops up in notifications with "completed", I get excited.
Only to remember the "trial" part in the title.

The June update for the progress report shows it should be done shortly.

So with luck a full release in a few months.

"With luck"
Also that's only the basegame, give it at least 3 months until a perfectly translated version (fanTL, not MTL) gets released here.

3 months? In one of the blog posts they said that test playthrough took someone over 140h. Not to doomsay but if playing MGQ Paradox taught me anything its that this length suggests were looking at more like a year of translation by a proper experienced team.

Playthrough =/= length of dialogue. Playthrough means the average time people would finish the game, that's including farming and other RNG-based item collection.

If you don't care about those activities, uses cheat to get the items you need or skip dungeon 'expected' routes by walking through walls to check if the context of the dialogue fits with the translation you can finish the game in few hours tops and translation maybe in 2-3 months with a very competent team.

Thought I'd check back in after half a year, they've made a few posts over the months on ci-en but the most relevant one for us was , basically it says they're including Cultivator's sequel in the main game from the start, so the release date has been pushed to 2026 concretely. It also seems they're adding more BGM and more HCG, since they have more time/content.
At this point I'll probably check back again in autumn just to see if they're at least on schedule
It be Autumn, and indeed I checked back in. They've worked on various things like rebalancing combat, weapons, resource gathering etc, and they're adding wedding endings for all 14 characters. The most major is that they're planning on releasing the game November 2026. They say it's already a tight fit, because they still need to implement the h-scene scenarios and dialogues, and they're currently in the midst of a full playthrough to check balance/performance/bugs. Creator said if it looks like they're not gonna make the deadline, they might leave some heroines' endings out of the main game and add them as DLC, but ideally he wants to include them in the full release instead. It seems like the extended production time made the game over-budget, so I imagine they want to start seeing some returns on it soon.

In other news, they've released that 3D Fairy game today (I just happened to check in today and stumbled upon the announcement), and (~$24), if anyone is interested. They are considering a translated Steam version for this game, but because the game is big and with a lot of text, that may take a good while.

Hopefully with that out of the way, they can fully focus on Cultivator. I might check their progress again in Christmas, though I don't expect much.

I mean, overbudget doesn't necessarily mean they would go broke if they didn't release it, they're already releasing the fairy game which'll make them some money as well, but rather that they spent more money on it that they expected. That said, saying they'll look into a translated version after the official release might mean they want the initial funds boost from it to spend some on a translation, idk much about their business though.

DLsite has it listed as 'Late 2026' now, so yeah. At least they seem to have confirmed it's probably getting a translated release. As for the fairy game, it looks like the sort of game that's not worth playing without a translation or knowing the language. It's meant to played over a long period of time, some sort of 'virtual pet' type thing where without cheating you have to wait a day for the fairy's stamina to recharge and get new conversations, etc. A lot of the appeal is likely on the cuteness of the conversations as much as the sex.
