15 save files at various points in the game including two post game clear saves

Any help on beating the wise guy? Other than stocking up on potions and healing every other turn?
Is there something I'm missing? I went to the dungeon after everyone in the village turned to stone but I don't know what to do in the room with the staircases. The walkthrough isn't very clear on that part
Next to the flowers near her home. The dirt tiles. The one dirt tile that looks different has it, stand on it and inspect.
Little disappointed that the game overs aren't animated, even the bosses. Good game otherwise and I'm really digging the artstyle though the random encounter rate is cancerous.
This thread is a disorganized mess with broken links and a bunch of other games strewn about in it. Needs some attention

Anyone got a clue as to why my game wont initialize graphics? I am using the japanese locale so I have no clue. I dont see japanese characters in the pathway but I do when I launch the game so game name then [ in this ].

Equip the Angel Ring, you can get it on the ghost ship. The ring will use a healing potion whenever you would die.
At the player home, check the bookcase.
