Hi hello, wonderful people! Thank you for the continued interest. I have responded to most of you but will pull together all my announcements into one place for your parasocial pleasure
I am in the middle of a lot of crossroads in life and in the game dev journey:
...
Big fan of how clean the interface is, the game is really easy to navigate, and the default keyboard shortcuts are super convenient.
- I don't really mind AI when the project is small,if you make 5k a month I would care about it, but not the case here. It's a good tool to make development accessible and not have to spend a crazy amount of money out of the gate just because you arent the artist. But AI doesnt even look that good to justify missing soul and using slop, when you can afford not to.
- AI art in the game was so generic it won't be missed, and the characters didnt look that interesting other than the orcs. A problem of how rigid IA generation of images/models are.
- AI art is cool, girls are pretty and hot, but I'd rather you do it in your style and find what that style is. Keep the idea of how a character looks, add some flair, etc. As long as redhead drunk stays redhead, blonde nun stays blonde... If the art and game is fine, people wont mind the change in art or character.
- Good luck in your new adventure!!
