I'm currently doing some additional adjustments and additions to
Someone Unknown's excellent ipatch.
Major focus is proper capitalization of Mom/Dad/etc and fixing original grammar and typos. I've also changed
DR.Bebber to
Dr Bebber to bring it closer to the original.
I also try to improve the narratives somewhat like the examples below:
While "your x" might sound somewhat repetitive, it emphasizes better the relationships from a neutral point of view.
What I also wonder if this school here is actually a college or rather a high school. Most girls don't drive a car.
The term "school" is often used and "college" rather rarely compared to it, so I test this replacement too without calling it "high school".
m "So, you will be assigned with a special group of students, and your aim is to get them fit and ready for their upcoming tests at the end of the school year."
"tests at end of the school year" doesn't really sound like college.
I know the age of Emma is given once during her flashback tale in v08, but this sentence can be easily changed too to make it more age-tolerant, so the students could be around 18 in their senior year.
f "I'll throw your ass out on the street the very day you turn 18!! And that's just around the corner!"
The "Cuck-Cola incident" happened about two years ago according to Frida in v04:
sbff "It was like two years ago when it all happened, and it was all my fault!"
The first age conflict appears during v02 when Emma says...
s "Plus, why would I be scared of that? I'm more than old enough to drink..."
... but only IF the story plays in the USA. Neighbor Canada has a min drinking age of 18-19. The French interjection "Ouf" is frequently used.
A replacement like below should do the trick to additional fuel her anger for her mother related to her father's doings she still keeps for herself.
It's still strange that the MC teases her about that as he wouldn't know that she is actually old enough for drinks. "More than old enough" sounds like Emma could be more than 21 years old what seems rather the age of Alex and the MC. Molly later at beginning of v03 mentions that she actually doesn't care:
m "Oh, so you and [alp] weren't the only ones drinking?"
mc "Well, umm, ehh."
m "Relax, is a big girl and she can drink if she wants to. I'm just surprised she decided to join you guys.
The MC gives the impression this was something forbidden, but Molly is very tolerant for a principal. The definition of "big girl" leaves a lot of age variance here.
Later during v07p2 is another indication that Emma may not be old enough to drink:
mc '"Some things" as in alcohol? Sure, I can drive.'
s "No-oo... Only soda, and stuff."
Her mother Molly doesn't mind again:
m "Whatever you end up drinking, just make sure not to tear down the house, okay?"
