Works fine on my side, probably browser issue or you doing something wrong. Share your save if you sure it's the game bug.

Is there a compressed version and no ad bomb waiting to happen while you download? Go file is the only one I found didn't feel like I was ad bomb high. Russian download site was okay as well, just I recommend those with Russian open-minded areas. Where I live I can only download it 50% and it stops.

Sometimes.

How much does it focus on cheating?

Not a lot, you can cheat to any boyfriend in game and most of them will never know about it, but to progress with some characters you need to brake with current and brake means you can't return back to current again except one, which you should brake on his plot.
