I came to these conclusions because it's the way you communicate.
Lol, you have too big ego if you think authors whose making pet projects thinks about their audience in first place. They tried, they got some results, they shared it. You as player can say thx or move to the next game. Authors don't expect from you as player in such cases too much, even if they create page on patreon to check interest to project. If they didn't see too much interest then their own interest cold down as well with time. This game survive longer then common pet projects survive, so say thx at least for that. Normally 3-6 months. Try to create something and check on self if you don't know how it's works. I fighting for authors cause players with big ego (expecting from authors like they their own slaves) much worse than authors who lose motivation and keep silence.
Yes, true but i think as a creator you owe at least the supporters a short info that the game is no longer in development or at least that the development is on hold for the forseeable future. I undestand that they might not give a shit about the audience but i expect them to atleast talk to the supporters. This communication gap also reflects on the amount of subs developers have.
Suppose from author perspective s/he spent much more time on project than got from income so they don't have a shit as you said. Otherwise I can agree what it's would be nicer to apologize to patreons who support you for radio silence. It's never late to do that. Not here on forum though.

Yeah...just the nature of fringe media. Every female protag game I actually enjoy is either abandoned or on version like .20 with a minor update every 5 months if lucky. Unfortunately female protag is niche even for this niche subset, and you add slice of life sandbox on top of that and it becomes even harder to find. Its difficult enough to complete a game that's actually funded, but trying to finish one with an extremely small fanbase while relying on what is essentially donations from that small fanbase to fund it....we're honestly lucky that this game made it as far as it did. If you use the search engine and filter by abandoned its pretty easy to see that even games with the most popular tags most often never get completed. Maybe shax is hanging out with golden boy and theyll bot return to us someday soon.
