Continue what you’re doing. If PFFG starts making consistent updates, then you can postpone your work. For now, we don’t actually know if he’s truly back or not, it’s just one update and he's good at making excuses.

Please continue your work, it doesn't matter if the OG is back if you can hire an artist and the help of AI I don't see why postponing this is needed when you have many ideas that you can do and be different from the OG storyline.
If CFQ story is finished (if ever) you can continue it from a different route since that's what you mention in the game announcement.

Basically made the characters have mouth movement (needs a little more work since the mouth movement looks weird and off), similar to how the game starts but the DEV wanted to make multiple routes.
I probably forgot some since I only played the game one time and skip some parts, game is short since it ends when they start going into the forest just like the OG, if the Dev didn’t put onhold on this remake we probably gonna get more even if the OG DEV is back.
Continue with your work, and if he comes back, don't pay him any attention, because if he comes back it's only to manipulate the community into continuing to donate to him.

Can someone explain to me what exactly is the state of this game right now? I just came upon the original recently, and I can't tell what's happening. What is the situation with the original game and what is the situation with the remake? Are either of them actually being updated currently?
PFFG sorta abandoned the development of the game, he went silent for 3-4 months. Then, Tanajura decided to make a remake of After a week of the remake's release, PFFG came back with a very minor update. Saying the game isn't abandoned. Tanajura halted the development. Now, PFFG is gone again without any word. He probably wanted a Christmas squeeze and/or couldn't stand his game being remade
I don’t think he cares. He didn’t even give a F that his “paid” teaser post was revealed just minutes after he uploaded it (or does he?).
Even so, it’s funny if that was the problem, because that was his own fault. None of this would have happened if he were more communicative with his subscribers.
