For me, it’s the typical scene where the elf is going to get really horny, won’t be able to relieve her sexual frustration, and will end up asking Durrak for help to satisfy her — and in the end, that’s how it escalates to more intimate scenes with him. Now, it’s true that I thought something was going to happen in the bathroom or something like that, but apparently nothing happened. How strange! Also, there were some sketches of the different swimsuits she could have.

Well at least it's not abondoned. And it won't be.
Before I start, props to the dev for his time and effort for the update. An update is better than none, at least he didn't abandon the project. But I agree, why tf would you tease about going to bath with Durrak but doesn't include even one scene with it, and I doubt he'll include that scene in the future updates because of how the story progressed in this update. I mean that was just pointless bruh, I won't accuse the dev for being lazy and all, but at least make it coherent with the previous story/scene. But again, thanks to dev for the work.

I'm actually surprised the dev is able to update the project so consistently.
I think the only mistake made is not clearly communicating that updates will be monthly from now on. Probably because he underestimates the amount of time and effort this takes as well as overconfidence in his own ability to deliver timely updates.
If I were product manager I would move to a monthly schedule permanently and communicate that clearly.
For readers this is what to expect from now on: updates will be mostly monthly, there will even be months without an update. The dev is just not willing to acknowledge this fact yet.
Monthly updates make more sense anyway due to how patreon works and because of the overhead associated with weekly updates (there are hours lost in creating and testing new builds, publishing them, communication and feedback processing) it's just more sensible to do monthly releases to minimize that.
Expectation management is very important. And it's clear from the comments here that it was mismanaged. People wouldn't be this annoyed if things were clearly decided and communicated. People aren't mad about the amount of content, or release schedule itself. It's that their expectations weren't met. The game is so good that people are emotionally invested into it, some clearly look at the thread daily with anticipation. You break trust with your community if you don't deliver, so communicate clearly and lower or remove expectations.
Progress itself is rock solid and consistent (more so than expected), and I have high confidence development will continue smoothly until completion.

I don’t want to sound whiny or bad-tempered, but I thought this update was going to include a scene of Durrak and Vellabelle taking a bath together or something like that, since there were some concept sketches showing the different swimsuits she could wear in a scene, like a sort of outfit change, so to speak. And now, the only thing that happened was something completely different. I even feel like, at some point, they cut that bath scene, as if it suddenly went from her leaving to being back with her husband inside the tent. Still, excellent work — I’m looking forward to the next update.

I’ve been noticing more people pointing out that a Durrak–Vellabelle bath scene was widely expected, yet instead we suddenly got an in-tent scene between MC and Vellabelle. Considering how long this update was delayed (almost a month), I’m starting to think there may have been a mid-development change of plans.
It feels like we might have originally been set to get the bath scene, but it was swapped out for this, and now the next update might jump to something completely different.
I say this because the dev has shown a tendency to change or rewrite scenes during development — even this last update he said he originally planned for 4 unique illustrations for 6.5 but ended up with 10. That’s a big shift in scope, and it could explain both the delay and the change in scene.

It's pointless to release a mod before the main game is finished. It's also kind of disrespectful (Yes, I know this is a piracy forum first and foremost, so respect is out of the picture. But you get my point).
