if it's not chatgpt it's just a really unique writing style in which case props to the devs.
The developers most likely made them speak this way to further emphasize that this is a fictional medieval setting, the character's background/social status/w.e, and/or also to provide a full contrast to Durrak's crude way of speaking.

P.S. I'm currently writing a story with a similar style to this (and HPMF). If you dare tell me that my writing reads like a byproduct of chatgpt, I will personally track down your IP, go to your house, and hang you by your testicles (this is a joke ofc... but not really).

nah i mean its not like im talkin about medieval stuff. i dont read wheel of time or w/e and say chatgpt. HPMF is great of course, no issue with the writing there. not like i'd say this about every single ntr game with a lot of text. its about the details. but IDK it may just be the author's style in which case fair enough

I just want to leave a review based on my opinion and the feedback I’ve read from others here. The game and story itself are very good, as well as the visuals—there's no doubt about that, it's really top-notch. However, the problem is that there’s way too much unnecessary text, and it often beats around the bush without getting to the point. It feels like things are repeating themselves without moving forward. It’s clear why people are playing this game, and it’s not just for reading a book. In the end, it’s your game, and you can decide how you want to approach it, but I just wanted to share my thoughts along with what others have mentioned in the comments. Maybe it helps
Why Tf is nobody talking about the endless walls of text except you??!
Like seriously, you don't have to explain how you can open a bottle of water in 10 different sentences... this is ridicules!!

Tbf I think a lot of people do just skip the text to see the scenes.

Though from someone who doesn't, yeah it definitely is overwhelming at times

Meh. I'm fine with a lot of text as long as it's focused on building the tension, lore, or character dynamics. No offense but, not all VNs need to rush things because people are in a hurry to cum their brains out.
Very true. Everytime i open a new ren'py game i go straight to preferences>music 0%>skip after unseen text, afterchoices and the other one>text speed 100%>auto-forward delay 0% and ctrl away; but once in a blue moon a new game comes out that is so PEAK that i have to turn it all back on and inmerse myself and my dih in the story for an optimal goon sesh... this is one of said cases o_O
