DEV:

After an extremely long delay 6.2 is finally out. To clarify, the reason for the delays was that finding a writer was extremely difficult. I didn't want to continue working on CFQ alone cuz I didn't think it was sustainable for a long.

I met many talented writers, some lots more talented than I am, but none really fit our established writing style. The narration is off, the characters seem inconsistent and out of place. Same goes for editing. I've pretty much given up on finding someone I can entrust with all the writing without rewriting the whole novel. There's one last person who could become our new editor. Hope we can continue working on the next demos, but if it doesn't work out, so be it. I won't waste any more effort on searching for a writer and will just finish writing CFQ myself.

This demo has first animation, so let us know what you think. Ideally, I would like to have an animation for every scene, but the budget won't allow for that. We'll do our best to include at least one animation per full update, unless you dislike them.

I've also been busy talking to sound engineers and voice actresses. We already hired a guy to do SFX for the future updates. A fully voiced Vallabelle is not feasible, but partial voice acting could be possible for some important scenes. Voice acting will probably come last.

I still haven't started writing 6.3. I'll hop on it after the weekend. Our goal is still to release a demo every ten days or so.
lol no budget after so many delays and lack of communication

you guys are so annoying...
I can feel how the dev is trying hard to make it work
Update doesn't happen > "Update next week" > 2 weeks later, no communication, no update > "Update next week" > 2 weeks later, no communication, no update
"I have art for this update and the next 2 updates done, just looking for writer" > "I don't have the art for this update done"

Congrats on getting good vibes from this?? Good for you???

2 weeks is honestly not too bad of an offset, I've waited 6 years for the continuation of valkyria 2 weeks is pretty on point :ROFLMAO:

Dude, he just lost his editor—the most important guy in the team
Yet you all can't keep it together for even a month.
99% of games out there get updates every 3 to 4 months, some even every 6 or 12. You just lack experience.
The dev looks exhausted, and I can sense his hard work from here. He even said his plan is to upload a demo every week.
The funny thing is, he just updated the damn game and explained the delays—yet you're all still moaning. WTF?
you hve unsubscribed so chill no one is taking your money now

He should have had better communication though, his track record is alarming so you cant blame the supporters who are somewhat paranoid...

I also complained when the gooners started shouting abandoned! after 1 week but like i previously stated that it is fine to complain if there has been radio silence for over a month+ which is pretty much almost what happened lol. A small progress report would have sufficed enough for the supporters to chill out a bit.

I like the story and the art. I hope he keeps his word about 10 days updates. I'll give it another chance. I'm subbed to creators that are consistent, I can give the benefit of the doubt just because I like his game.

I agree that the communication objectively was pretty bad I think that is obvious to everyone. I do believe that the dev is still actively working on the game and artworks (since the latest update contained quite a bit of new art) but is not organized when it comes to managing a consistent time schedule.

Honestly my best advice would be to just chill out, unsubscribe if you feel the need to and wait for things to be more consistent. Bashing the dev for delaying the update while understandable makes it also more likely that he wants to communicate less with the community because of the amount of bad reception he receives. I have seen devs with way less consistency so while it's not good to delay things like this without notice, it's also not so terribly stretched that you should instantly assume the project is abandoned when he didn't write for like a week later.

Gonna be honest with you this is pretty tame for only 2 weeks of absence, compared to icstor who I supported back then when he made Milfy city didnt fucking update the game for like 3 years.

Bones from Bones Tale the Manor with 3 years of no update and his other work survivor guilt who didn't update again either which pretty much just milking his supporters

If Dev is really trying hard to finish game then I’ll give it another chance, what I hate about is the Dev doesn't update to his audience for the delay (no announcement and need to be more social active to his supporters) which is understandable for the people who support the game.

It's complete bullshit, luckily I already unsubscribed, I'll be ripping him off when it's out for free next time, the demo is WAY too short for the amount of time he's been cold.
can you please give us a download link?

Going 3 years without a single update isn’t being a developer — it’s scamming. We shouldn’t normalize that level of neglect as acceptable or set the bar that low.

Like I said before, this dev has shown all the classic red flags of potentially abandoning the project.

And let’s not forget, he was also involved in another game that quietly disappeared over a year ago with zero communication or closure.

That kind of pattern is worrisome , the signs are there and are not good ones.

I hope im wrong but im going to wait a couple of months before trusting him again.
