The more I play this, and the more I think about it, hell the more I even look at the code, the more I think "Are you kidding me with this?" Not only is every interaction contrived beyond belief, nor the characters are anything more than sex objects that the intro lies and says "finding true romance," but the code for this is so barely put together that I can see why the wt was stopped. Even the dialogue options make no sense. One of the first options are either "It's my duty as your neighbor" or "Well, I can definitely help with that." BOTH of these options are the same sentiment. WHY does one give you points toward the LI? AND THEN, you have to earn more points by WATCHING MC JERK OFF IN THE SHOWER. Why? We, the audience that is 99% male, wanting to see naked women, are supposed to watch him jerk off? Why is this a scene in every mid AVN? I just don't get it. You could show what he imagines and skip time, but no. The ONLY argument I can foresee is "well we have to know how big his dick is." No. This is a subpar power fantasy about a guy that suddenly has sex with everyone. I'd be shocked if it was smaller than his forearm. And to be clear, I don't care that I have to look at his dick. This is a porn game, I'm not stupid. It doesn't make sense for the target demographic: Horny goblin gamers that like curvy women. Not only that, but this happens multiple times. Whoever made the shovelware checklist of "Shower masturbation, Yoga, picking out clothes, picking out lingerie, sitting on his morning wood, giving a blowjob in his sleep, and big business is the villain" needs to be blacklisted from every industry. Heated ranting aside, I know this game is a symptom of terrible tropes, not the cause. Either way, this game is nothing more than "If you like these same DAZ models you've seen everywhere else, you will like to look at this game."
This game starts the same way most of these AVNs do, MC waxing poetically about how bored he is. MC leisurely rides a luxury train to work, talks about how he's surrounded by models every day, falls asleep at his desk all day, then goes home to sleep saying "Today kicked my ass." Um? Am I the only one with situational awareness? Nothing happened, he went home, and more nothing happened. So we have a lazy, born lucky, rich MC, that lives in an upper-class 'suburbs' complaining about his lot in life. Great. The next day, one of the future LIs sits across from him. Instead of showing a character looking nervous or anxious, MC tells you that she is because it's hard to pose DAZ models with anything but the signature "Blue Steel" face. Only to skip to the end of the day right after. I wouldn't bring attention to all this mundane nothingness if immediately after, MC didn't introduce more characters we're supposed to give a shit about. But he does. You know what you COULD have done here? Shown MC's office life and coworkers to get a feel on how he acts normally. But no, SUDDENLY we meet his neighbor. SUDDENLY we meet his coworker. SUDDENLY we meet his cheating boss and his wife. FOR WHICH MC covers. You can't portray MC as some nice guy, while also have him cover for his boss who is cheating on his wife in the next room. It doesn't make sense. Anyway, the next day you meet Andrea, the new neighbor. He helps her move in and stares at her ass the whole day. This is also where the previously mentioned "Choice with the same two options" is. I also like the "This box is so heavy" scene but it's obviously empty and he's holding it how no human would ever lift that box. There's a comment about how nice the house is, and she just says "I'm still figuring stuff out" Unless she came from a nicer place, there's no question here. Later, MC says oh so humbly says "I just so happen to be the sole designer of a women's fashion line." Wow, he's so humble and talented. I already don't like him. Then... he goes to work to fall asleep, then come home and work more? The beginning of the day he said it was the weekend, implying he had a day off. And this is only a framing object for MC to watch Andrea change from his window. Cool. MC also says here "Heh, sometimes I forget how good I am in photoshop" He's a designer for clothes, not a designer in marketing. Am I having a stroke? So this big company only has one person designing clothes(in 3D software????) and their marketing visuals? Money must be tight...
After the scene of him jerking it in the shower, MC goes to work to meet Amanda. A fully disabled coworker that has no fine motor control and looks like she's sucking on her lower lip with her eyes crossed. Is this supposed to be alluring? Is this supposed to be funny? It'd only be funny if it wasn't intentional, and I don't think it was so it's hilarious. Then we meet the boss. He tells MC he'll be gone for 3 weeks and MC's in charge. So, now not only is he the sole product and marketing designer, he's also the boss? You ever rub your temples so hard you can feel the ridges of your brain? That's the migraine this story gives me. Anywho, the boss' wife will be "in charge" while he's away for some reason. Then the boss asks him to guard the door while he blatantly fucks his secretary, whose nipples clip through her latex outfit because modelling and posing DAZ is hard. Cool. Only for his wife to show up immediately. She also appears from a room that has no other door, so she can phase through walls. And MC just covers for the boss as he's cheating. With the door wide open, no less. And she just breaks down hugging MC for no discernable reason? MC even comments that he'll be her shoulder to cry on? Bro, you're an accomplice, you're just as guilty. And he ogles her the whole time, to which she responds with giving him a look like her brain was removed. Next day? She gets his number and address and takes him on a date? And on this date, the waitress flirts with MC, shows him her ass, and Marv gets jealous and shoves her ass in his face. And instead of trying to help her, he grinds on her because MC also has a functional disability. I obviously can't handle this game... MC says he was enjoying her company, but no words have been said outside of idle compliments? What would they like about each other? Not only that, but she jumps at him while driving to kiss him, putting both their lives in danger. You could have had them talking at a stop, or at his house. No, they actively point out they're still in motion? Then another masturbation scene that is just a memory! Great.
So far MC has slept and jerked off every day, I hate him. All the dialogue in this is dumb, superfluous, or boring. Like, MC leaves and yells to andrea next door, saying she can come by to get a telescope. Instead of "Yeah, come on over and we'll find it" They make it a time skip? But there's no apparent time skip and nothing happens in that time, meaning half the dialogue was useless. Then they go to find it and she just wanders off in his house. I will say, he told her where he keeps the clothes he designed, so she was curious. But for her to need to be talked into visiting only to lurk around in his house is bad character writing. And there's even a scene that says "After I took it apart and put it in this box..." You could have avoided that terrible render, and just said "I took the clothes and telescope over before lying down" if you're so dead set on including these empty scenes where MC lays in his bed alone. Sure, this time he gets the worst looking texting pngs ever seen, but MC recapping to himself in his bed is another annoying AVN trope. After another nondescript time skip, Andrea calls and acts like it's been days or weeks? So time moves as fast as Rings of Power here I guess. But lo and behold, the yoga trope I guessed has already started in the middle of characters trying on outfits. I honestly believe that if I make these reviews ambiguous enough, I could copy and paste them to 75% of these no-effort AVNs. And MC just walks to a bench and sits there for hours doing nothing. He emits NPC energy when he's not drooling over women's asses. And he sits there, does nothing for hours ONLY FOR IT TO SKIP AHEAD A WEEK. We didn't need to see that? Only for a bunch of MC passing time walking around doing nothing to find Jaylen? A woman he's talked to once that obviously doesn't want him to know about her situation. And the dialogue option "I wish I was her teddy bear also" Where did that even come from? And not only that, but she responds with "How did he know I love teddies?" Are you serious? Nobody knew that. That was a cringey line of nothing he spat at her for no reason. Then he assumes she's in a cult because a catholic priest is yelling at her. My god...
After a day, or some amount of time, he decides... "I'm going to stalk her and insert myself in her problems." To which, she rightfully assumes he's stalking her. Say it with me class, "This is dogwater writing." There are so many better ways to do this. MC could have stepped in, thinking the priest was gonna harm her. She could have been running away and ran into MC. She's hinted that she knows Marv, so that could have been a common ground. But no. We'll go with stalking. And we know ZERO about any of the other LI's but sure, this coffee girl is now important to us... And no, of course she's in a cult because MC is infallable. Even though he's a slack jawed moron, he is never wrong and the best person ever. Even though he has no personality, and turns off his brain for hours on end to pass time. And him saying "I like you" is enough to drop her panties. It's a good thing she's never met a human outside her apparent cult because there are better men than MC. Most men, in fact lol. And during the sex scene she said "I love this side of him" Seriously? She's known him for an hour total, what other side did she know? The one that stalks her, or the one on a date with another woman? He immediately leaves and says "I'll see you when I have time" No numbers exchanged, no last names exchanged. She just assumes he's different than "all the others." This is how she joined a cult. Then skip to another week later. I just won't even bother mentioning the passage of time anymore. The next section, Marv tries to fire an entire company for no reason? Then you finally get awful expository dialogue about MC's life. I will say it's marginally better than Marv never knew it, so he's not just narrating to no one. But it's still just crap exposition. Then MC calls her crazy and his chair tips over and suddenly he has a concussion? From falling in a cushy chair onto carpet? I like him even less now. And instead of calling an ambulance, she strips him and lays him on her lap. Okay.
Eventually, instead of working, Marv takes MC camping. And during an intimate moment, Marv's husband calls MC... To tell him that he'll call him back? This is just a joke at this point, right? And then MC gets depressed and doesn't go to work because Marv goes out with her husband? Boo fucking hoo, he's dating another girl as it is. He's spent at most 6 hours with Marv, why does she matter? We, the readers, got the equivalent of "We talked a bunch during the time we spent together, you really shoulda been there." We do not care about that and MC just goes to work to sleep as it is. This is poorly done. Have I made fast friends only them to stop talking to me after a few days? Sure. Have I stopped going to work for 3 days because of it? No. And suddenly the boss' sidepiece and some guy that was just introduced caused Marv to leave and are doing something nefarious? The boss isn't here, nothing negative is really happening, and none of the writing makes me care about these characters yet. Why is there suddenly a half-baked corporate espionage plot? You have yet to make me invested, not have we, the players, been shown any of their wrongdoings. How is MC aware of them? There was just a time skip and MC said "I've figured out all the answers." OH. That's right, see my earlier rantings about this idiot MC. And then Andrea, a neighbor he's interacted with three times, suddenly goes looking for him? Why? Just wait for him to come home and push a meal on him. This is almost as bad as MC's stalker arc. Only for them to start flippantly joking around with each other? At this point I hope Andrea gets back with her husband to make MC more sad.
When MC FINALLY goes to see Amanda about what Michael and Charlotte are doing, he meets Susan in passing, then has to ask about her for some reason? Why? What does this do? And them solving the embezzlement plot does nothing because MC is about to leave the company. Why would it matter? Do you see how all these issues compound on each other? Alone, they're annoying. Together, they break everything. And why does he not only have designs he made but studio equipment at home? You really gotta think about the story you write before you write it my guy. Oh, and they remembered Jaylen exists too. The girl he supposedly likes and started a thing with? Well they commit an actual crime and have MC cum in a customer's drink. Then MC gets home to see he had this entire lighting and picture setup, even a tripod, but no camera. Man it hurts to think about these things sometimes. And suddenly a character that's seen MC once snuck into his house to take a picture of him in the shower. He already showers at the dumbest time, better have the dumbest thing happen! And the "reasoning?" She was getting her laptop? From his house? What?
The next chapter opens to MC rescuing drunk Marv from being drunk on the street. Instead of on his back, he carries her on his shoulders? Just say it's too hard to pose without saying it directly. He runs there as if he's direly in love. But we still just don't care about her. What happened? The boss had business and called her a cab. Yeah, WE know he's cheating, but they were at a bar and he had what anyone could assume is a business call. So she got piss drunk and ended up in a back alley. Then, when they finally sit down to pretend they're going to get to know each other, they get drunk during never have I ever. Asking questions that essentially ask "do you like me?" Remember how we still know NOTHING about this woman? Other than she's about to cheat on her husband? Only, what's that? A phone call during another intimate moment? lol. They even say they actively love each other, just because they're half naked on each other. MC also talks to Andrea like a puppydog as well. But why is he so obsessed with Marv? Notice how I only refer to her as Marv? Because at least I can have a laugh with that. And for him to suddenly have some ruptured ligament? He's never once even though about his feet, now suddenly an accident he brought up just before getting with Marv is causing him issues. Why didn't it hurt when he carried her on his shoulders? Why didn't it hurt moving in his neighbors? Why didn't it hurt lifting up the girls he's had sex with? Because it wasn't a thing until he needed another sympathy point for... Reasons? And his doctor internally monologues about how he's been shopping for someone's prosthetics and that he's just so amazing. Do YOU remember when that was a thing, cause I sure as hell don't. JUST before going to the doctor he said it's been a long time since seeing one. So, yet again, instantly contradicting your own story. Then, after the Marv and Jayden, Marv suddenly exclaims MC is hiding something from her in regards to the prosthetics conversation? Excuse me? They know nothing about each other, every aspect of their being is a secret to the other. These people are stupid. MC's real secret is he's already having sex with other people. Look into that.
I also want to point out that somehow, this sheltered cultist Jaylen, that also works at a coffee shop at night, is somehow investigating Marv's husband. At what point in time is this happening? And how? I get it's easier to not introduce another character, but come on. Eventually Marv pushes to get MC a raise and buys him a motorcycle? And he even cries about it? The one thing we know about MC is he was in a motorcycle accident, gotta push that. Less and less keeps happening, but there's more dialogue, which means it's unnecessary. And any time MC gets so much as a papercut, Marv freaks out as if he's gonna die or she's committed a grave sin against him. It's too much. Just because they act like lovesick teenagers, doesn't mean I buy into their "love" story. All he said is "I can't accept this, because of bad memories" And she runs away crying like a middle schooler. And later on, when MC actually dates Andrea, not only is he leading her on, but they ALSO know nothing about each other. How romantic. My favorite part, though, is every time MC finishes having sex with Andrea, she looks utterly and supremely irritated. And for the rest of the game N O T H I N G happens. MC is rewarded with sex because that's what the plot demands.
I kinda made my points in the opening paragraph. It's nothing you've not seen before, unless this is your first time ever seeing something pornographic. The English is fine, for someone that doesn't speak English. There's a lot of typos and missing words too, though. The UI/UX is stock renpy, so no effort there. The art is fine. Just a bunch of women with big hips and baby bottle nipples. Lots of room for improvement. The story and dialogue is nothing. It feels like every time the writer sat down, they forgot what they last wrote down and thought "Okay, I need something dramatic to happen." With no drama, no characters, and no real effort. I will say the dialogue isn't terrible. But the characters are empty shells which makes all their weird romance and sex dialogue mean nothing. Is it offensively bad? No. It's just offensively mid.
