I would have loved to legit buy the game and not pirate it ( am maybe gonna donate to the dev tho ) but since those games are allways a few GB I prefer pirating them . Since you know ... A loot of devs don't really care if you pirate games if you enjoy them
Bro, just say that you dont want to pay in the first place, this is cringe justification for piracy.

Yeah but the question is, who is buying the game? And is he/she willing to share the game? Like I'm so broke for god sake, all I'm gonna do is wait for a hero.
If I get some money from gambling (you never truly win btw) I will buy the game myself, also the game has a discount on the first week iirc so yeah

I am the hope of the brokies who cant buy, and it all rests on the casino's shoulders.

If devs dont mind people downloading stuff for free they just put it out free , with optional donations or pancakes recepy as dlc. On this one i can see pricetag.
Then how do you explain that some dev told me that he doesn't mind people pirating his game ?
Plus how do you explain that the Ultrakill devs literally told on twitter thatthey doesn't care if you crack it .

Well most of the Devs are powerless against piracy so rather than wasting time or stress over it, they just leave it be hoping for gathering more feedback or use it as some sort of advertising or any other way to turn piracy into "positive value" rather than "negative value"

Definitely. Indie games can never hope to compete with AAA publishers when it comes to marketing. That's why one could potentially argue that piracy is an unsung hero in bridging that divide. A smart Indie dev can look at it as a cheap alternative to allocating funds to promotional media because, just like it, piracy promotes your product. Yes, I know it effects sales but how many of those sales would it take to cover the costs involved in marketing anyway? Food for thought at any rate.

At the end of the day, were it not for piracy, I would never have found so many gems on this site I would eventually buy for myself and occasionally for my friends. These include the likes of both Sinisistar games, Anthophobia, The Agnietta, etc.

Well quite simple: they TOLD YOU. Like if one stand on market allowed you to take apple for a taste before buying you automaticaly assume that you can take anything from all stands?
