Going to need to fix mouse speed being linked to frame time. Depending if I looked down, forward or up my mouse was out of control.

Come to think of it, I think I mentioned the same thing last game.

In the meanwhile I'll be more than happy to get your thoughts about the last advancements for the User Interface (dating from October, when I was happy) UwU I tried to be creative while keeping a taste of Daggan 1 !

To be honest my original schedule was to publish a new version around march, so like 3 months of hardwork to redo the customization entirely. Basically it works fine, but I was supposed to do the fap-friendly, eye-candy version UwU

Honestly it looks quite fine for me. The fact that we got non-stock fonts is fantastic on my eyes already. Take your time with development, we can wait a bit more considering the circumstances surrounding you. Hope you're dealing with your loss well.

It was put on hold because of real life problems, but also I reached a point in the game where I just don't have the skills to make what I had in mind. So while working on easier projects, I'm still testing solutions here and there to find a decent way to do it.
Basically I don't know anymore how to do the levels, since the player can controls from furries to giant robots. I don't know how to speed up the level creation, how to stream them efficiently when the player visit them, how to save all the datas and all the cities the player could build.
So yeah right now I'm blocked and I don't want to mess with the code and make garbage stuff :l

Sorry to hear that, im not entirely sure what the games entire goal is.
Is it a sandbox, is it a RPG, life-sim, rouge-like etc.
But im sure you'll figure it out, you're smart, i have a quote i say to cheer up some of my art friends who are occationally creatively blocked "Silence in art is not failure, but fermentation." :LOL:

Building those skills or finding someone that can provide theirs to the project are the two options for continuing the game. Having people to bounce ideas off or give ideas of their own is also good for figuring out those things you were having trouble with like the level creation.

That said, I second what balle11 said about not knowing quite what the game's goal is. My opinion is that for what I can make out from playing the build shared here, and for what you said you wanted to do with it, maybe a sandbox RPG game would work. It would let you use an RPG style progression towards those giant robots, and the player improves skills before moving to new and more dangerous areas; the sandbox part comes in with the addition of having towns of NPCs that the player can come across, and the player could maybe have sex with the NPCs, but with the catch that the player can only get new villagers from having sex with NPCs in their own village, like a faction system but... not. And if you do the other towns of NPCs, you just restrict the player to a single town per level, which should make it easier to just store data for that one place instead of multiple.
