Most of it can be maneuvered if you read the events and see what each is required. You can change your progress to catch up with a new update if you don't mind skipping over everything or change it to be lower if you need to go back and do something.

With this update, most of the new content is at the beginning of the game so you've skipped over all of it if you pick it up from the current point.

Save 1 has 100% except for the last pool mission at 1pm which if completed I can't use the phone.

Hmm, it seems there's a bug in the new version, at the dinner scene, making unavailable the option to drop your spoon.
