game seems to hang on maribel route right after (four hours later)
that's odd i think i have an idea of what might be going on, if you reset the chat you should get something different, i may have not done the point systems as well as i thought so it's possible you didn't activate either ending somehow

on a side note, i do think you should be able to press spacebar to progress messages or something , it gets tedious to have to click through the same messages over and over again

so patreon version will always be patreon and never be released later on for public?
also the game is named after main character to release full update without any content for main character is just disappointing
When it comes to patreon things being released to the public later is a yes and no, Suki is techincally a patreon character for now because of a voting poll but once I have a good way of introducing her to the canon without messing it up again I'd like to have her in a public update.
As for the name complaint, I'm honestly not sure how to reply to that but there is 2 Felicia patreon chapters if you're interested, they're based off the original idea of chapter 4

is there a way to manually clear all the game data? the reset chat button is not working. I really don't want to start a new vm to replay the game :(.

Hey, so-so update for me i guess. Haven't tryed the patreon only content, so am only talkin about chapter 8 here.

The relationship with maribel as it is written in chapter 8 comes out of nowhere really. I mean, i don't think Felicia intro was better, but with Felicia it is about missing out on what Felicia trully is; as stated by the title, and the story start with our relationship with Felicia already established. With Maribel, we do have prior introduction to the character before the relationship start and none of it points toward that behavior. Even the daddy thing, I don't think it relate to anything prior to this chapter right? My memory might failling me there.
So to sum it up, in writting it is important to maintain a likely progression of consequence(well, am always struggling with translating technical terms, i hope am clear). Just like a Chekhov's gun, it is important that something important to the story is suggested before it happens. On the other hand, all of this might be coming from another thing that writter struggle with at first, and it's introducing character. Maybe for you Maribel character is a clear thing, yet, you might simply failling at presenting it to us.

On another note, if she run that casualy a 2 hour mountain treck, she definitely wouldn't have such thin legs :HideThePain: Joke appart, i have a thing for fit girl so i might be biased on the matter :KEK: the fitter the bod the better i guess

Then i'd like to address the devlopment process thing again here. I know it is important that every update brings up actual story content for the players as your income depends on it. But you might be skipping on the steps here. Right now your code is barely stable, and it get worse every update. I wouldn't be surprised the game collapse on itself soon, as you are pushing more and more weight over a feeble base...
It might be a bit harsh to read i know, but i would hate for you to fall to a trap that shot down a great many games around here. Most dev here start out as completely new to the thing, they throw themself in selflessly, thinking they will cope as shit come by, and once they become somewhat good about it, they just remake the whole project out, putting even more pressure on themselves.
The only healthy way to dev something is to plan out before hand. You plan out the feature you need, you make them, you use them. If you need new features, you start a new project, and a new game. If you do otherwise, at some point, you'll realize you planned out your story over a feature that you can't actually push in the game the way you made up your code until that point, and it will be the impossible choice to reboot devlopment from scratch or stretch your story to impossible length.
Right now the trap for you is the transitive variable. For now the story isn't that long but the day you'll figure them out you'll have to implement them through it all.
Keep the things to your level. In devlopment, you make a user case mock up. Every thing that a user want to do with your app, you wright it up and you make every single one of them before even putting actual content in it. Yeah for that you need to have the whole story figured out. Yeah that sucks. But then, you don't have to make it a mountain.
For instance you could have make a first game where you only talk to Felicia, and for the app to be able to carry out variable through that single conversation. Then you make a second game which is able to save those variable and to read it. Then you make a third game where you don't only talk to Felicia but also to Maribel, with all the feature that you have before. Then you start on a whole different thing like option to set game sound, set text speed, maybe to go back to a specific message so the player doesn't have to start from scratch.
All those things are in themselves their own challenges. Right now it feels like you wanna put up to all those challenges at once. And it must not be pleasant for you and it will not be pleasant for your community the day you'll have month of technical debt to put up with.

Well, i didn't wanted to be too patronizing but here i am babbling about workflow :ROFLMAO: Be sure i only mean well (y)In the end i'll be following your game no matter what you do.

On felicia's intro i do agree it did fall on it's face but i'll talk on that more later, what i want to mention is Maribel's intro, I understand this comes from me so there may be some bias however I think I made her point clear in the first chapter and the banner for this chapter is another hint to that, but like you said it could just be me at simply failing at presenting, so I'll definitely keep not on that!

On another note, if she run that casualy a 2 hour mountain treck, she definitely wouldn't have such thin legs :HideThePain: Joke appart, i have a thing for fit girl so i might be biased on the matter :KEK: the fitter the bod the better i guess

I agree that maybe legs shouldn't be if she was super jacked however I actually do have a few points to counter this
1. she works out yes but she didn't get her scholarship from working out, she got it from track this isn't your fault for not showing because I'm convinced I forgot to put that in but I did leave it in a tweet which probably isnt the place for lore lmao

2.She mentions this is her first time seeing some mountains like this

3. it's a porn game(which isn't really a point for me since despite that I still give effort, but I know someone gonna bring it up)

Actually I'm not sure if you've been here from the beginning so I'm really sorry if you were but my game has always been running on "barely stable"(aka duct tape and spit" and I don't blame you for not knowing since i usually talk about it on patreon but effort is being put into fixing the code.
However ever since the disaster I had a month ago I decided it's best if I have a version of the game where I experiment on code and the other version that everyone else has the reason I do this is because godot doesn't like me so i'm very paranoid with the git version and other version.

Don't worry though I know my limits of my game and I don't plan to go past them (as in I'm not all the sudden going to be a visual novel) , studying game design has always been fun for me since I was little so if I somehow messed this up bad I'd be really embarrassed but don't worry most of my plans are thought out.

As for the feature thing I'm gonna be honest it took me a month to have the chat ready and I had to get help for that, So i couldn't worked on much since even that was super buggy but next project I work on I'll different have better planning for that game, this project has thought me a lot of these things. I'm really glad to say I haven't started on something only to notice half way it wouldn't make sense or be dum (except Suki's chapter that's why it has to be patreon exclusive for story reasons).

That trap is definitely the variables because I agree that those are not good in the long term, most of them were made when the game had a different vision but I'm confident I'll have a fix

I think you're under the assumption the mountain was made half planned, I planned this story out last month and was writing it for a week. I do have a story planned out but maybe I'm just bad at writing or I expected people to notice some subtle things lol

I don't believe you're patronizing I do enjoy responding to your paragraphs because it helps me reflect on the game and see it from others eyes but believe me when I say I have been putting a lot of effort in the background I just don't talk about it because I think people aren't really interested in that junk. There's a lurker around here who can vouch for me staying up until the morning

Trriggered Bakery, I figured out what was going on with the graphics bug. You might want to consider putting a tip in your main post saying that for macos wine players, wine 22.1.1 may possibly work better than newer versions of wine. I tested it on 3 computers with vastly different hardware and found that wine 23.7.1 does not work and is unplayable but 22.1.1 works well.
