how are yall playing this when i download its just a rar file that i cant do anything with. am i just dumb?
you have to extract it. just right click it, should see option to "extract all"

Though, this should be obvious, you will need winRar or a newer version of 7-zip (for newer RAR5 format) to extract the archive. Windows updates (late 2023/2024) added native support for extracting common 7z, RAR, and TAR files directly in File Explorer. You can download and install 7-zip for free , for WinRar you will need a license.
