It's an older game. Right off the bat from the screenshots you can see that: the quality of the render is low, the women can have pretty ridiculous proportion, and the faces/hairdos (including your own) are quite bad. The h-scenes are okay. The writing can be quite funny at times. The story is inconsequential, just like the 'choices' you make in this game.

No, you can't take the game serious, the game doesn't either. Rather consider it as a parody of the whole incest genre with all its tropes. It's what Spaceballs is to Star Wars.
As someone who don't like humour in games I can assure youit isn't offending nor cringeworthy, but fits the game world very well.

The "Sandbox" (which I also don't like in general) is implemented flawlessly and very tolerable, without grinding nor too much looking around for the next story segment (guide helps tremendously if you lack patience).

Speaking of the story. Imagine this:
You constantly go from one super hot scene with the mother/sisters/neighbor to the next. NO pause, NO annoying/distracting side characters, NO uninteresting info dump.
And it gets only hotter, the farther the corruption of ALL (including the struggling MC) the characters goes.

Kudos to the dev and damn you for giving me a raging boner lasting for hours.

4 stars for the amazing models. Really good sex scenes and as i said, models, although the story was really random. The ''sandbox'' element was really pointless and it would have worked out if it was just a normal VN.

I love pubic hair and this game did it right (loved the pubic hair peek), wish more games had pubic hair, almost always see the models clean shaved :c .

Man the back ground music is just too good sometimes. It takes of my concentration from the game itself. The game too has a unique tone in which the story is delivered. A good incest game after a long time. And like the name suggests the scenes are dark toned and gives an eerie feeling. Overall a good game.

TLDR; This game is... not very good. It's definitely not 5/5 like some have given it, but it's also not so bad that it's a 1/5 either. Anything in the middle is more accurate, though I really don't think it's worth more than a 3/5, even if you can handle the horrible writing. My actual rating would be a 2.5/5, but since I had to round, I rounded up because I appreciate when devs actually complete their games.

Unlike a lot of others who gave this game poor reviews, I actually like the models. I think they are hot -- if not unconventional. The sex scenes were okay at the beginning, and got better later. But that's were most of the strengths lie. I think if you are lukewarm on the models, this game will be a 2/5 for you.

The writing in this game is where it completely falls apart. The dialogue is juvenile. The characters -- especially the MC -- speak and behave like they are 12 years-old.

I can handle characters acting in unbelievable ways in order for sex scenes to happen, because it's a porn game, that's par for the course. But this game took it to a new level, the MC spoke like an actual child, and the characters acted with no sense of believability or even consistency. Just bad character writing. The plot itself is also trite and uninteresting, existing only to make the characters have sex.

All-in-all, this game really does not have much going for it. If you're like me and you like the models, do yourself a favor and either download the Gallery mod and just watch all the scenes, or just use the walkthrough and skip all the dialogue. If you don't like the models that much, don't play this game. The story is not worth playing and I only completed the whole thing so I could give a fair review.

Either this game is a satire of an adult game and a perfect troll or it's just the worst I've played yet. Terrible, unless you're into cutting your dick off. All has been said before, just look for the one star reviews.

The best game I have ever played in my life. I love history and I love female characters, especially the mother, she is beautiful. I'm totally in love with her. hahaha ... I wish I had a mother like that. I require a version 2.0

For the good part, i see much good effort and passion in the making of this game. The dev did clearly his best to make it something a bit different, with more attention to the gameplay expect.

Unfortunately i didn't go much far into the story because i really don't like this game, so it wouldn't have been fair to give anything less then 3 stars (and probably the game doesn't deserve less then that).

What didn't work for me?

Well, the puny momma boy obsessed with bannging her mom... i really don't get how anyone could identify with that, even in a incest fetish game. But i see this come out OVER and OVER among this games, so the topic seems too be oddly popular.

But this is not a problem per se. It's just not my pair of shoes. And if the mother-son incest is optional (i don't know, i didn't play through, but it's quite heavely laid on on the early story) i can live with avoiding that.

What put me off the most is how ugly and grotesquely disproportionate every model in this game is. Oh, com'on, i understand that big boobs and big areses are popular, but going as far as sheer deformities is in no way good or appealling.

I mean, look at the mother's model! She looks like a head shaped little balloon sticked on the mass of a pink hippopotamus. And we are supposed to want to see scenes with this blatant kaiju?

In this cases i just ignore the monster cow and go for other LIs in the game, but the older syster is not any better and the young one is pretty hugly as well.

Upon all, the story, of which i've seen very little, so i can't tell much, didn't catch me at all.

Too bad. I see the dev is working on another game. I wish him/her to came out with a better product. Passion deserve results.

The game features HEAVY Incest without any patches. So, I need to warn you if you aren't interested. (I had to learn that the hard way) The shared screen captures are somewhat misleading, I had much higher expectations diving into the game because of those screenshots. (It's not any better within the game)

About the character designs,

• The MILF character is quite well made (the dev totally nailed that realistic busty look, along with the face animations)
• When I first saw the youngest character on a screenshot, I expected that was a neighbour type character but it isn't, nonetheless it's made decently.
• And the elder sister character is nothing but mediocre.

About the story,

• The MILF storyline is actually quite interesting (again, if you are interested in heavy incest) and features..

What I love about the game is that,

• The game features amazing music.
• It's given a much darker tone (which makes it quite unique from most similar games)
• And aesthetic of the graphics just thrilled me.

Would have enjoyed it more if there was an off switch for incest. (but if that's your thing you'll absolutely love this)

What the actual nut did I just play!!!

Okay so I think that the art style is actually really good the colors are vibrant and the girls COULD be beautiful. I am not saying they are because in this game I actually think they are really ugly. I mean from the neck up. But, from the neck down I think they actually look pretty good and have really good skin tone. Just whoever picked what the girls should look like on the neck up definitely has a weird taste for woman.

The story idea is actually really good. I won't say it was executed horribly. It was just executed poorly and makes the game seem like a horrible joke. The random fart jokes don't help either. Also I want to take away a star just for the broken dick which probably made almost everyone cringe (No, I didn't minus a star for it but I want to).

To be honest I gave the 3 stars rather then lower because I do think that the dev did a pretty good job and I do think that this will appeal to certain audiences. Its not a bad game if "this" is what you are into. The girls are probably beautiful to some people and I assume the jokes are intentional so I assume it was meant to be weird and funny. I do wish that the story was taken more seriously and that the girls were more to my taste though.

So 2.5 stars (3) because I think it can be a great game for some but not my taste.

The art direction looks a bit weird, or maybe it's just me. I don't really like this game. Not a lot of anything going on, the scenes are meh. This game will not leave you satisfied, that's for sure. It's a good start though, seeing that the developer is kinda new. Looking forward to their new games!

The only good thing about this game is the model of the mother. Everyone else is ugly as renders go, the story is boring and the writing is immature. The sex scenes just happen, there's no build up, no character growth, just sex and that's it. this is an example as to how visual novels shouldn't be done.

I'm Big fan of incest game. Incest game is my favorite genre.
But it's really really hard to find at least decent incest game.
So, I've been through hard time enjoying my adult gaming life.

However... This game. Dark Neighborhood. This is great incest game!
Easily belongs to My Top 10 incest games. I'm really enjoyed this game.
The visual, plot, dialogue, character, ending, mostly I loved it!
Of course, it's not perfect obviously. But only one major flaw that is.
There are NO female voice acting!!! It must be made game perfect.

The premise sounded interesting but the execution is poor. The characters are thoroughly one dimensional, and the writing is forced. The visuals are also poor with flat background and over-proportioned blow-up dolls for women.

Disgusting at times, boring VN with generic story brought to absurd, really tidious gameplay (door opening simulator), overwhelming amounts of text and one nice curvy model. Generic story (young guy lives in a house with women cliche), really tiring gameplay (walks around this architecturally challenged house to get some sort of scene), that tests your patience (most scenes are about him whining and complaining from aching cock.) People are constantly flashing each others, keep whining about it, then get lost in thoughts and conduct internal monologues during those activities ("Wonder Years" type of monologues) and when they've done flashing they fall out the window. There's lots of menstruation blood, plucking hairs from hairy buttholes and a broken cock. What more could you want.

It's one of the worst games I've played lately.
The weakest side of the game is the story. It's absolutely awful. It seems like the author tries to be funny but fails miserably.
Another weakness is models. They have unrealistic look, oversized boobs and ass. Even their faces are far from beautiful.
I didn't have high expectations for this game, but still it managed to disappoint me.

Developing a plot that is very simple to just give some context to the fuckery is one thing, but developing a very poor plot with scenes that makes you cringe is another matter entirely. The situations that the protagonist finds himself in are not funny, they are just stupid (like giving your mother a thigh job to escape a car accident - yeah, you read that right). Worse than that, the game has a somewhat slow build-up, with the protagonist taking his time in those stupid situations while whining about he doesn't want to fuck his family, but have to because of an evil lustful demon that put a curse on him.

And no, the sex scenes don't pay off in the end. It has some stuff that not everyone likes as well, like lactation and gender bender elements with the protagonist getting a woman's butt (because why not, right?). Many grammatical errors, but who am I to judge.

Unfortunately, I don't recommend this game.

This was quite a unique game. It was often melodramatic, but that's understandable given the plot. Some people have complained about the art design, but I liked it. However, I do agree that the characters looked weird at times, but not enough to not enjoy. Overall, it's a good game. A gallery section would have been a nice addition to easily replay scenes.
