I thought I reviewed this game...guess not.

---CONS---
The first half of this game is terrible and I mean TERRIBLE!!! As mentioned in other reviews there is menstruation, hairy buttholes, BRAP, and a broken cock but that's not even what makes it terrible in the first half. It's the main character is sooooo horribly written initially. All he does is whine and complain like a pubescent 13 year old girl. "Stop making me horny waaa" "My Mom is smoking hot waaa" "My neighbor wants to bang me waaa" CTRL Skip!!! Goes on for 6 Chapters...

The antagonist, if you want to call it that, or should I say deity or entity then gives the MC a quasi sex change with a womans butt. Yes there some gender bender elements for some reason. I guess to tickle the futa crowd. If you read into this game on a psychological Alice in Wonderland level there is a lot of symbolism and freudisms but they are terribly done and quite frankly distracting. The writers then try to pass everything off as satire with humor which falls terribly flat. Now I see why the devs named themselves Psycho Delusional. First half is a prime example of what everyone hates in a MC its also a blueprint of what happens when a porn game tries to take itself too seriously and falls flat.

---PROS---
This game is still one of the best games ever on this site. How could I say that after all these flaws? Because the game totally redeems itself. Once the MC stops whining and they fix his penis he has a physical, emotional, and philosophical change. He literally grows a pair and bangs all the hot chicks he can unapologetically which this is a porn game and that's how it should be in the first place. Nothing wrong with moral conflict and internal conflict with a MC but that should be done the prologue not 6 WHOLE FRICKIN CHAPTERS!! The first half is obvious 2017-esqe dev milking and padding the story for the bangfest.

Given the reward we finally get in the end I'd say it was well worth the wait. If this was remade for modern day it probably would not survive because so many games used to follow the recipe of milking to the end for the payoff that patrons and WEG lovers like myself will see in a game at stage .01 from a mile away. I personally have been traumatized by bad games enough times to check to see if there is any meat or sexual content and if there isnt periodically read the threads and wait until its complete. Games like this which are relics of the WEG past got away with this because it was a relatively fresh scene. Not anymore

DMD had a jump in fan base towards the end of Chapter 2 for example because during its development other games started delivering the goods at a faster rate with less quality but better quantity so the dev took note and stopped with the blue balls. I would have been pissed if I were following this game during development.

The tail end of this game is a masterpiece. You get to cuck anyone in the game who mistreats the MC and I mean ANYONE!!! The padding I mentioned before makes you actually care because by the end even if you skipped you would have been annoyed by some of the characters. The pacing is absolutely perfect as there is now an incentive to the main plot and time is of the essence. This game is all incest but you're probably aware by now which if the MILF and the characters are hot I can dig it. Its kinky because its not real.

---SUMMARY---
Game is initially a blueprint for how to write an annoying MC with terrible elements and ridiculous events. Last 2/3rds of the game becomes a masterpiece with some of the hottest most memorable scenes EVER in a porn game. So hot I give it a perfect score. So hot the MC could have been Hitler or a cuck and the last bit still would have redeemed the game. Definitely worth your time and this game is in my all time collection of greats.

Dark Neighborhood introduces the player to a quaint, suburban avenue and its inhabitants via the internal monologue of a starving deity on the prowl; it craves the sensual energy that bleeds from the wanton coupling of the sexually depraved. An interesting premise to be sure and, sadly, completely squandered in this inadvertent satire of erotic visual novels.

The script from which Dark Neighborhood takes its cues is, indisputably, the most amateur-tier writing imaginable, gleefully employing every grammatical and typographical error imaginable. It manages this, however, with such wilful disregard as to impart some humor to the entire affair. Indeed, as the game progressed and I discovered that not one line managed to eke by without an error, I couldn't help but chuckle. As in film, I began to believe that this, surely, was a game that had achieved the lofty ideal of being so-bad-it's-good.

Take any of the following, for instance, copied verbatim...


Apart from the classic there/their/they're errors, which appear with such frequency as to be mundane, Dark Neighborhood continually astonishes with the sheer variety of its flaws. Admittedly, some of the writing is so poorly articulated as to be somewhat off putting.


There's also the equally disgusting motivations of our protagonist: whilst dreaming, the young man literally describes why he desires so earnestly to sleep with his family members. When speaking of his mother, he notes how she needs to feel desirable. His younger sister should be open to new experiences. His elder sister, well, "for all the shit she has put me through in my life." He closes this charming monologue with "I really do care for them..."

Fortunately, that very introductory sequence also provides adequate distraction via one of its many illogical scenes.

The deity, which is also intermittently referred to as a demon, enters the elder sister's room to find her in a face down, ass up position, supporting herself on the side of her head, elbows and knees alone. A very provocative stance, particularly from a man's perspective, but far from comfortable. Imagine, then, the absolute hilarity of it all as the demon declares that she is asleep! As if anyone could ever fall asleep like that, much less wake from it without finding their back in knots, neck horribly out of alignment and their entire body numb from the waist down.

We are also treated, within the first chapter, to a scene in which the protagonist and his younger sister are facing each other, on an even surface, in profile. The image clearly portrays the male as scarcely taller than his sister, yet she notes that "at least your 6 inches taller than me." The obvious typo notwithstanding, the odd assertion that this kid is even six centimeters, much less 6 inches, taller than her is hilariously unfounded.

Still, the illogicality of contrived scenarios thunders on: the game quite literally begins with our protagonist waking in bed to a gloriously sunny day, having overslept. He remarks that it's a shame and he'll likely be in trouble, given that he missed the opportunity to go job hunting. After wandering throughout the house, the protagonist is eventually forced to click the last remaining area and proceed toward the front door. There, the player meets the mother and two sisters, all of whom are furious at the protagonist for not having responded earlier. They claim to have been stuck outside for "20 minutes" in the blazing heat, attempting to force their way through the screen door in the back and knocking for his attention. He, they claim, locked them out. Three grown women left the house, somehow locked the door behind themselves, ventured off into the world and returned to find, lo and behold, the door remained locked. This, somehow, is the protagonist's fault? The mother then proceeds to berate her son after he confesses to sleeping in, missing the opportunity for some job hunting... which, obviously, would have precluded him from being there to unlock the door. Ergo, if he had been awake and job hunting, he wouldn't have been present, the door would remain locked and... somehow it's his fault?

Less than fifteen minutes into the game and I was genuinely struggling to determine if this was an intentionally crafted disaster, crafted by some mad genius, or the result of such sheer incompetence it could only have arisen from the mind of a madman.

Take, for example, a scene that occurs at the neighbor's home. While still wearing the same pair of shorts through which his erection has literally burst twice on that very day, the protagonist experiences another erection in the car with his mother. This is, as the images convey, a direct result of her skirt being torn off entirely by a nail in their fence, exposing her low-cut panties. She, naturally, opts to continue in this state of undress and, on seeing the "pain" he's experiencing, rushes them, barely clad and with his penis exposed, across the street and to the neighbor's home.

With a flying kick the mother bursts through the door, adding breaking and entering to the charge of public indecency, to discover their neighbor in her underwear. The svelte woman in her bra and panties, no doubt aided by the slack-jawed expression on her face, causes the protagonist to "overheat at the site," falling to his knees to "scream in anguish."

I'll admit: I laughed. Aloud. For a good two or three seconds.
But the game didn't quit. Determined to push the dial to eleven, it continued.

The image cuts to a wide-eyed shot of the mother who remarks about her son's exposed rear end as, after all, what choice did he have when dropping to the ground but to tear off his ruined shorts? Line by line, precisely as seen below, she thinks...


Oh, sure, he has a 10-inch erection that's been flailing about for the past few minutes, but have you seen his butt?

Also, I've never witnessed a writer use the term "motherly" quite so often nor in so many unique fashions. Her giant motherly booty. Motherly breasts. Motherly emotions. Filled with motherly thoughts. My favorite, however, typo included, was the "smell of a swollen, motherly bossom."

All within the same scene.

Lest I neglect to mention it, the cast is also quite susceptible to the notion that any swelling of the protagonist's penis may cause irreparable harm. Grown women, a nurse and mother included, all earnest in their concern that: "Prolonged erections can either cause permanent damage or n some cases, may be fatal." The protagonist also alludes to this, mentioning repeatedly how he feels the blood flowing out of his brain. Indeed, his mother is absolutely horrified at the sight when it occurs in her bedroom, aghast that his member may literally explode... and yet, should you select the option to "show me just a little more of your sexy skin ma.." she will immediately frown, shed any semblance of concern and request that you leave immediately. So much for that explosion, huh?

Choices throughout the game adhere to this same pattern, being either binary win/lose outcomes or entirely false, with either having the exact same effect. Approach the neighbor's door, for instance, and you'll be presented the option to "Knock" or "Leave." Hit the latter and the sound of knocking occurs as the player bemoans her loud music that prevents it from being heard. Enter the kitchen before speaking to your siblings and you'll be faced with your mother, questioning whether you're ready to go shopping. "No" is your only possible response. The entire introduction prompts you, repeatedly, to click the one and only option available in order to progress the story. As opposed to what you've already been doing: clicking the screen to progress the story.

Why, a thoughtful player might inquire, offer a choice when there isn't one to be made?

The writing is atrocious, even by fan fiction standards, the gameplay is nonexistent and, unfortunately, even the graphics disappoint. Dated, low-resolution textures and equally low poly-count models combine to create a series of poorly arranged static images that feature obvious clipping and rendering or compression artifacts. There are no animations to be found, nor even the barest semblance of artistic framing.

Of course, even in this respect the game inadvertently interjects some humor. At times the protagonist has white, skunk-like streaks in his otherwise dark hair. In others it is pure black, or gray, yet in the sunlight it shines like burnished steel. Lighting, across the board, is poor, either washing out scenes or illuminating items so brightly they appear metallic. Worse yet, entire sequences are text-only, stark white letters over a pure black background; one line at a time. In a "visual novel," the visual element should never be neglected.

It was, however, a scene at the pool which convinced me to prematurely cease playing. I knew there was no progressing beyond that point, no way I could make it through with my sanity intact: the protagonist stumbles into the backyard and hears "a strange splashing sound" emanating from the pool. The player knows it's a person, but our intrepid hero is shocked to find his elder sister in the pool. Topless. She immediately accuses the protagonist of peeping and desiring to touch her "giant E sized breasts...!"

Leaping forward, she attempts to smother the protagonist, momentarily pinning him with her vastly superior strength. Here, the player is provided an opportunity to "overpower her!" Choosing that option, the protagonist manages to position her in a "strange hold" now sitting atop her breasts with knees pointed at her head. It is at this point he swears not to hurt her, but to cause her pain...


Literally screaming "GAAAAAAAAAA!" and "GRRRRRRR!" the protagonist expels "one fart after the other, directly into your sister's face, and her nostrils." It is then that "in a trance, you continue to explode on your sister."

I completely lost it.

Inadvertently clicking the screen to continue, my entire body shaking with scarcely restrained laughter and eyes tearing over at the sheer, unabashed travesty this game had become, I could make out one final line of dialogue before I hit the exit button: "I am the man of the house now."

SO-BAD-IT'S-GOOD STILL MEANS THAT IT'S BAD
As a grotesque parody of the genre Dark Neighbourhood is flawless, satirizing so many of the common visual novel tropes from incest-centric relationships to scantily clad women, well-endowed protagonists to lackluster mechanics; unfortunately, the intent behind its development appears to be sincere and, in that respect, the game is a shambling, incoherent, artistically bankrupt production. Try it if you need a laugh, but be warned, as the name implies: this is a bad neighborhood.

really really really great game ! animation is really good, story exelent and navigation in game is simply ! i recommend it if you whant to play a fucking good story, would be good to have a fallow ( like in other family )

This is disgusting, amateurish, and a wasted opportunity.

It's disgusting because half the shots are off a dorky 11-year-old looking kid with half a steel-belted radial sticking out his pants... I mean, literally sticking right through his pants... this thing is shaped like a boomerang... and the size of half a truck tire. This spends WAY too much time looking at this kid and his grotesquely freakish thing. And the female models are just flat out unattractive... but the lighting really doesn't help that either.

It's disgusting because it has you picking hairs out of ass holes, farting in a girl's face repeatedly, cleaning up menstruation, and an overdose of infantile boob sucking fetish... complete with spontaneous lactation. The way she talks about his juvenile body and the way he looks, and the obsession... do people really get off on this? To me, it was always the taboo of incest that made the situation hot... society says I can't do this one thing, well now I want to do it even more... but I don't want to actually regress and crawl back into my mother's vag in some Freudian head trip.

But mostly it's disgusting because of the way his schlong swells and hurts when he is aroused, and his depiction of that pain. Most men know that any reference to a dick will immediately make them empathically consider their own dick. When you see a man getting kicked in the balls, you actually feel it. Almost. When he gets an erection and writhes in pain, it comes across like that... not as arousing, but as wince inducing. This isn't hot at all... it's torture.

It's amateurish because half the shots are done with a fish-eye perspective focusing on an extreme closeup of a face or some physics defying position, in entirely inconsistent lighting from shot to shot. And the camera angles are all over the place at jarring angles and in random spots from shot to shot. There is no immersion here. It's like a bad acid trip.

It's a horrendous visual experience and the writing does absolutely nothing to help that deficit.

It's amateurish because it's use of tropes. Girls trip and their panties fly off... girls walk by things and their skirts rip off... but the worst possible offender in the history of this laziness, in one instance you get in a car wreck where both you and your mother are thrown from the car, with all your clothes being ripped off in the accident, and you land directly on top of each other in a pre-made sexual position. It's ridiculous.

But worst of all, it's a wasted opportunity because of the premise itself. The idea of a demon floating around feeding off our lust is a good one and to me served as a metaphor for the player in these games. You take a character who has never done something taboo prior and along comes this third party, the demon/player, to push them into places that maybe they didn't want to go... while they still have their own thoughts of repulsion by what they are somehow compelled to do... or maybe they did want to go there and the player gave them that nudge... it's a good metaphor for this entire experience.

But it's wasted because as much as this main character denies his lustful and taboo thoughts, he still can't take his eyes off everyone... he still doesn't do anything to stop feeding his own supposedly unwanted arousal. This would have been much better if the main character resisted more... or frankly didn't resist at all. The whole "I don't want to... but I'll look anyway" shtick just doesn't work... it's disingenuous.

And frankly the writing is too immature even for a porn game. This is not a slow burn. On day one you've jizzed on one sister and been sucked off by your neighbor with your mom sitting right beside her. And there is no reservation in anyone's thoughts that says they aren't ready to jump their barely pubescent looking family member.

I did not last long in this. Everything was a turn-off.

The characters look great, their situations and dialogues are fun. Although you get sneak peeks and accidental teases they don't put out instantly. Buttering the bread first like that builds anticipation. It makes it feel more personal and real even though...

The story is absurd. You could describe it as a comic-book drama. You play this boy who has an upper-arm sized dong. He doesn't wanna boink his loved ones. That's twisted and wrong. But sometimes in life you must embrace a lesser evil.

The sex scenes were really well made, in my opinion. A certain dread and taboo hits the right note and heightens the excitement. Generally the smut, world-building, fun-loving personas and music combine well together.


A wacky game; perhaps that's why this sits comfortably among my favorites as few entertained me more. Definitely a recommendation!

Design: The characters faces are all very well done! They are each unique and are sexy in their own ways. They even actually look somewhat realistic, especially in the case of the older sister. However, their character models fall into the same trappings as most other games. There are only really two body types in the game. Smallish boobs and cartoonishly huge boobs, the latter of which is unappealing to me. However, they don’t get as stupidly ginormous as some other games do and for the most part, I can pretend they are realistic. What is NOT realistic is the MC. I can look past his babyish stature, since that fits into certain mother-son fetishes, but WHATS UP WITH HIS PENIS. It literally bends at a near ninety-degree angle, making it more like a candy cane than anything. It gets a bit irritating to see characters giving blowjobs where they only suck on the tip, because they physically cannot go deeper without piercing a hole in their throat. The background music is nice and sets the tone very well. It’s a fairly unique ambiance and style.

Art: There is pretty good body detail and shading in this games. You can see an athletic character who actually has visible muscles, which is fantastic. It helps lend a realism to the game when characters have different body tones. A shame then, that the rest of the cast all lack this definition and are just plain old smooth skinned babes. Shading is put to good use for different situations, making a lot of them sexier. You can see the ladies skin glisten sometimes. Good use is made of various angles and poses, to add a dynamic feel to all the action. This game never looks boring.

Writing: This game should not be taken seriously. Not because of its fantasy premise, but because the internal logic of its world is pretty much the same as a cartoon. This cartoonish logic also applies to anatomy. Breasts do not, in fact, grow bigger when aroused or when you haven’t run in a while. However, I feel that the game does not need to be seriously written to be engaging. There are plenty of narrative beats that occur that are simply entertaining to read, BECAUSE of the outlandish physics and stunts involved. The descriptions and pace of the sex scenes are also fantastic. They don’t drag on needlessly and most of the 5 senses are brought into play. The biggest issue is that a pretty much all the choices you make don’t seem to affect anything, aside from the scene you are currently in. It is disconcerting to have characters talking about a blowjob you never actually received.

Fun: Once you get into the tone and style, this game is an absolute meme machine. It knows what its doing and is just having fun with it. I genuinely laughed out loud at many points in this game, and was also amazed at some choices I have NEVER been presented with before. A fun ride all the way. I played through the game twice, and as far as I can tell, there is only one ending. Also, there is a character who appears near the end that you don’t get to do the sex with and that’s a shame. The most detracting point is that its a choose your own choice game where choices don't really affect the story.

Honestly, I can't tell if I am meant to fap with this game, or fucking laugh. There is some real hot content, and the models are nice enough. But oh my lord is the MC's dick bent to an unholy degree. Additionally, the uncanny valley due to the zoom and angles the creator has chosen really fucks the mood.

This game wasn't really my style in terms of the construction and plot. A little bit too absurd for my tastes. There was a nice variety of models in the game, which I always appreciate. Ultimately, though, I think I like my games a little bit more anchored in reality.

This games incredible. Still my favorite one i think. The thick models are hawt! The story is hilarious. MC is completely absurd i think PsychoDelusional has struck a fine chord between the realistic and cartoon/absurd here that is rarely achieved in a unique style.

shocked to see this game is only 3.5 stars deserves 5 no question. Anxiously awaiting the first demo of APOCALUST!

I rally enjoyed the dark story line, The graphics were great, and I can't wait for another game. I like the mix of girls, the milfs and the sisters. Only draw back is a lot of clicking in rooms but not a bad thing

Dark Neighborhood is a point and click adult adventure/visual novel game featuring roughly 500 renders (in Chapter I) over 20 images/rooms to explore, multiple choices to make, an alternative ending scene to unlock and roughly 2 hours of gameplay.
It is a story about a wondering, lustful deity who feeds off of erotic acts done by humans in order to satiate his power. In Chapter One it happens upon a variety of different people and proceeds to bring out their hidden and most intimate desires.

Why does this developer have to make things be so fucking weird in this game? It has erotic moments, but it also borderlines on horror that heavily conflicts with the sexual parts.

This game has heavy 'Corruption' and 'Possession' themes, that result in such possible actions as "Cut off your own penis". Or, you and your mom nearly die when she crashes the car and it explodes, because a demon is trying to force you to do things. It's pointlessly extreme.

Beyond that, there's just disgusting moments, like repeatedly farting on your sister's face. And then you proceed to basically rape her in the pool.

By the way, you don't get to choose which of the four girls to pursue. You're practically forced to go for all of them. Really sucks if you don't like some of them, which is most likely.

Additionally, oh my goodness the art can get UGLY. Primarily your own character, but also every single other character because of the use of very weird camera angles and character-poses.

One moment you're having a good fap, and then a few moments later there will be scenes that leave you horrified. I recommend you look elsewhere.

This is one of my favorite adult games ever, it's bit wacky and got some weird looking things and sometimes odd parts. But I love it either way, why?

Because it got a charm and a unique story with some funny moments. It's not at all grindy, it's straight forward with some clicking through a map at times.It's easy to jump into and enjoy it purely for the sex scenes, but also enjoy the story! It has good and natural flow with a constant build up. The models great too, most of them, not exactly like so many others out there. This a great first game from a new dev!

After reading fair amount of negative reviews I decided to give it a try because of all tags. And I was pleasantly surprised by game not best on this site but it was enjoyable atleast for me. I'm glad I didn't dump this game solely by reading reviews. Story is weird and linear and gets really wierd at times. Personally I don't like games where girls gets crazy after MC's giant dick but it was different this time. Detailed writing and good selection of few music made scenes interesting.

The story is really really bad. I don't know whether Dreams of Desire was a ripoff of this game or it was the other way round but this game sucks.

The renders improve as the game progresses but that's it. The initial renders are ugly so improving the render quality doesn't do much. I've played games where MC has supernatural powers but this game just takes it to a whole another level. Sure, we want fantasy but this is just too much.

The mom looks fat which is a real turnoff. Never got into the dialogues. Even the reverse cuckolding scenes were just unnecessary. As many people suggested, the game gives MC bubble butt at one point. AND even highlights it during sex scenes. Like WTF "Pyscho Delusional". Guess, I should have steered clear of the game from the start after reading the creator's name. Now I know just what pyschos get off on.

I've always read the text no matter how boring the story was. This game crossed my limits since by the end of the game I was just skipping the text without even reading it. And I'm sure I didn't miss anything good since the story and the quality of characters was just pathetic. Even the incest theme wasn't enough to give the game some redemption.

If you ever start thinking you are becoming an adult game addict give this game a try. It will have the same effect as imagining your grandma in a scat video. You will want to stay away from porn for a few days.

Definitely a great story and game overall. Overall sound and performance of the game was good. Although their was a few spelling mistakes, not too bad overall. Content will atleast last you 5 hours or more. Worth it!

The story is kinda weird in some places... But, Overall it's good.

The Character development is really good as well as animations. Grammar usage was on par and it's worth at least two playthroughs
