kinda ironic that people are whining about AI art ethics on a platform where 95% of the hosted content is some mixture of free use, pirated and character creator assets modeled in a studio, often times without even the developers consent

not that i don't agree with the other complaints about AI. but turning it into a "real artist" argument is lol

I'll say it, the previews actually look great to me. I get that people want to be upset, but I will never play a game made with DAZ models, I'm tired of Koikatsu models (some of which are even default/borrowed models), and I've no interest in games using or replicating real life imagery.

I'm going to be holding off for another release or two, but you've got my interest. Don't let people discourage you too much. Any tool that allows hobbyists to make content I enjoy is a glorious addition to the arsenal in my book.

You can tell most of the time by looking at the hands and other details. You can never tell 100%, tho, I've seen "real artists" banned from art sites because their art looks like it's AI generated.

The thing is, is that it requires using others real art to make reference to to generate that art. Basically people using other peoples artistic ability without crediting them or compensating them. Just because it is a very indirect form of thievery doesn't mean it isn't stealing.
I don't agree that it's stealing at all, but even if I did: You are in a pirate site, there's games here (some very successful) that use stolen real porn, actually stolen art, screenshots from Koikatsu/Honey Select, DAZ 3D with stolen assets, screenshots from The Sims, screenshots from Skyrim, etc. And you are telling me we should be drawing the moral line on AI art?

Knew it was A.I man they gotta do something about these developers using A.I art complete disrespect to all the actual artists and many indie developers who spend years to learn programming and art just to get shit on by an ai that just steals their art.
>oh no, muh milking artists, so disrespectful, they dare produce stuff without “life so hard, i drew a picture last year and it was so tiresome”

I for one welcome our new AI overlords. Praise skynet!

I played the game and it seems enjoyable, no idea why people are so triggered about the AI. I would just refine the images/animations a little bit and make the story more intriguing.

AI art being good enough to no longer be completely jarring is interesting. Also force opening a browser link in your game is extremely rude, if you wanna sell your Patreon make it a clickable button

Here is the thing, we don't pretend we aren't stealing. Too many people touting their AI art as their own talent.

pretty decent for an initial release, it does have potencial, even with the AI gen arts. Excelente jogo meu casa, keep it up!

I liked what I saw, but only one real scene is pretty scanty, even for a demo and first release.

It's not the worst example I've seen, but folk gotta realize you need more substance for a first release or you're not getting the most out of the highest number of views you're likely to have.

I understand how you feel, but the version available for download here is a demo. The full chapter 1 contains more scenes. Chapter 2 will have even more scenes.

Well, I was going to wait for another update before trying it out, but decided to just go ahead and give it a go... and almost everything has about a 80% chance of locking the program up and forcing me to shut it down. Changing settings, moving the window, SAVING. After a few dozen attempts of lowering settings to see if that'd help, it seems to have made zero difference.

I've run plenty of Unity games that should be larger resource hogs than a VN, so I've not the foggiest clue what the deal here is.
