You need to remember that all saves for the games on Ren'Py are stored in two places. (When you save the game (in the game folder), a copy is automatically saved to the system drive)
save location:
1. On the system drive are not deleted automatically, after deleting the game. (can be deleted or changed manually)
way for windows
C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\RenPy
2. In the game folder. Only those saves that you made in the current version of the game are stored. Usually deleted with the game. If there are no saves (or not everything) in the game folder, they will still be available for load as long as they are on the system drive.
