This is my 600th post in this thread!
Someone mentioned that I had posted over 100 pics in this thread a short while back. I haven't attempted to verify that, but yeah somewhere over 100 pics sounds right.
This thread was started in August of 2017, and when I saw this thread I of course felt the need to to (re)post this photoshop bash that I did waaaaay back on page 1 to help kick things off:
I did a followup nod to this piece in my unauthorized crossover comic Enthralled a bit later:
I decided to check the first five pages of posts to see if anyone from the 'old gang' might still be posting regularly. I think Carlos Silva (the artist that inspired Mr. Plow to start this thread) posted a piece not too long ago, but none of the other names of folks that helped kick off this thread, well I don't think they've posted recently. I could be wrong though.
Anyways, as I've said several times, there are some truly talented artists in this thread, that have more patience for setting up really cool renders than I do, as well as some new faces that are now posting various fun pieces here. I'd imagine that this thread was an inspiration for a few other fanart artists to dip their toes into Daz Studio and share their art here. Whatever the case, I'm just glad to still see people posting fanart regularly here.
A few of the other fanart threads are longer/have more posts, but IMHO this thread is the funnest thread of all of them. I love the silliness that goes on here! The 'more serious' sex renders are nice too, but at some point, after you've seen Dee fucking for the bajillionth time, well it's nice to have the 'change of pace' renders too!
I have a few fave artists from this thread, but really what excites me most is to see new faces taking a stab at rendering, and perhaps recreating Dee for the first time. I lost interest in the DMD game updates a while ago now, but this thread is far more interesting anyways!
As for 600 posts, well a number of those are just 'blah blah' or 'that's cool' or 'look in the Art Assets thread' posts so that particular milestone isn't really a big deal to me, as opposed to say anniversary posts, but nonetheless I enjoy participating in this thread with y'all! It's a group effort after all!
I don't 'like' every single piece of fanart that is posted here, just the ones that I feel are somewhat relevant (i.e. the characters LOOK somewhat like the DMD characters at least), and that I appreciate, but there is a lot of awesome art in this thread! Someone posted a compilation a while back, dunno if it's still available or what post it is, but if it is it's worth tracking down!
