HAHA... I agree with that. But I have to admit that two of his porn comics were just OK for me for the first few chapters, only later they got drowned in the sea of his endlessly almost identical stories.
I guess you're right. But, there is a phrase... every goods has its buyer. So I have no doubt that he will continue to have support in the form of his subscribers. There was a lot of controversy on this thread for a while about Uncle Peter, and even polls on his pages. As far as I'm concerned, he's not consistent. He should be the one who has a vision and brings that vision to life in his comics. From time to time he may do a poll purely to feel the pulse of his subscribers. You can't please everyone anyway, so please those who care. But never mind. Fortunately for me, there are some authors whose complete or almost complete oeuvre is exactly to my taste. When it comes to Daval... despite the amazing artwork too little. BTW... he's not even on Patreon.
I got into Madness Together late (just as Uncle Peter was introduced) so his inclusion didn't bother me as much. I'm usually not phased in these thematic shifts as long as the incest is perpetuated. That is to say, in my mind, I thought, "at least it was her uncle." Though admittedly I can understand the ire in having been immersed in three chapters of 100+ pages, only to have the main male character get cuckolded by another. I truly despise getting roped into a narrative only to be jerked by an NTR twist as a result of the author being paid to shift said narrative. Not to mention, under his alias "DirDr/DirDogma," one would think Daval3D would have an outlet to satisfy both those who prefer the more "vanilla" type incest stories (as Daval) and the more crass, "EvilAngel-like" incest/non-incest stories (DirDr watches too much pornography--I mean, have you seen "Perfect Family" or "Who You Fucking Podcast"?)
Most of these older female/younger male pairings are clearly constructed to appeal to an Oedipal sentiment maintained by the overwhelming male audience. If you noticed, the Mother-Son pairing is easily the most popular theme among 3D works (explaining why Immoral Desires, for example, is a lot more popular, than Madness.) In the case of Madness, Sarah is the maternal surrogate for David, the character with whom, and I assume, most of the male audience identifies. So even if the NTR is incestuous, Uncle Peter doesn't really appeal to anything Oedipal. In my opinion, though I completely acknowledge that Daval should and will do anything he wants, he should just create a Sarah-like character and a Peter-like character and make a story that focuses on just them. I mean after all, Mrs. Harris from "Who You Fucking Podcast" is almost a carbon copy of Lana from ID, and Naomi from "Lucky Draw" is almost a carbon copy of Martha from ID. I think if he includes any more male characters in Madness, he'll risk alienating the very audience that sought to lash out. In other words, keep the NTR to DirDr and keep the vanilla/nuanced-vanilla to Daval. That way, he can satisfy both audiences without alienating either. With that said, by the looks of it, Madness is applying the CrazyDad approach, which I despise by the way, so I may be jumping ship sooner than I anticipated. (I'm fine with Uncle Peter, but it just appears there are going to be more inclusions that I might not be okay with.)
