Spot render only the parts you want...way quicker

Actually in your images it will be a challange, PS work is all that will work, but as you said not really worth it. It's not that obvious

Good eye, noticed it as well, but it wasn't worth re-rendering. I used the Dreamlight - Take a Swim Prop and used the light present as well and ended up with the light / background clash. The prop they use in the asset is an image painted on a curved wall and the results are worse than using a HDRI in my opinion.

I hope my images of daz characters not rendered in daz studio are welcome here. I'm working on a demo scene I plan to release before I start working on my game. I'm trying to keep the scene as minimalistic as possible, here's what I have so far:

I'll post again when I have few frames of animation done.

After all this time I spent in DAZ, I came to the conclusion that there are two meta ways to make a quality render.
Reallistic way is much harder. A huge number of small parts that need to be combined with each other. Shaders, proportions, materials…
Cartoonish is much easier. Enough to make the image bright, the color is pleasant, and the shape is soft and smooth
For example - character with big "Anime" eyes. I don't know, is there any "uncanny valley" effect, but cartoonish style is more more pleasant for me

I new character I created, Shani (name might change), using the VYK Vashti figure with some slight morphs to her face and some large morphs to her body. I liked the final result a lot. I might alter her skin a bit because for some reason I can't remove the tats. There's a few tats that went through and after some second thoughts, I'd rather just the chest tat, but I went through too many edits too undo it at the time, so I'll have to readjust her skin from scratch if I can't find a way to remove them without losing what I've done.

I also did a simple post-edit to give her skin a little glow to it, though I think I overdid it on one of them cause I feel slightly blinded by one. Either that or I've had my eyes on the computer for too long like I always do.
