Are you able to import your DAZ characters into blender correctly. I have tied, but none of the bones seem to move over. I did try to follow the guide a couple times, and had different results each time. (this was earlier this year too, if that makes a difference)
Yes. I use (I get better results with it and also it can export Golden Palace meshes) and as far as I can see everything works fine (poses, textures, expressions (sometimes you have to fix them manually), hair (looks fine, but needs more testing), Golden Palace stuff (you will need to edit character mesh a bit, but nothing serious)). Currently I pose model in Daz and just fix some export/import bugs in Blender.

looks great... But it's up to you how you want you lighting setup... you have to find your own lighting setups...
the lighting in daz is the hardest thing to learn but everyone has their own setup

yes it is really hard to find out the right light intensity and the positions of the light
for myself it looks mostly really bad the result
but maybe only because I haven't found the right setup for me yet

I try it further
