Sometimes messing with the lighting can give you the effect you want with realism, you can only do so much with the shell of Dtator before it becomes over saturated. Have you tried also using the veiny overlays on it they give in the displacement tab of dtator gen?

it's a pain, you can try adding some more normal and bump in the surfaces setting
I think the people behind Meipe are sadistic by making us play with their dicks so much
