Yeah? I'd like to recreate, this scene from a certain 90's film.

That's easy! Create a sphere, squish it in one direction with the scale tool, apply the Iray Uber shader Glas-Solid-Clear and place it in front of your camera. with the scaling you can adjust the distortion. But be sure to render to a new window. the effect will not show up in the view port.

Quick, dirty and exaggerated ;-)

It's nice to meet a fellow game developer, the ones that are just starting, like myself, are in this thread. idk where to take my main menu of my game atm, I constantly change it as I try to have it like the rest...which hinders my creativity.
My suggestion do not compare simply create and allow it to flow naturally to you and you learn to be happy with the results because your acceptance leads to more people liking your work than not.

Solid advice, thank you, brother! appreciate it, btw what's the best way to light a scene? dome and scene or scene only, using lights, manually.

Very good information, I appreciate your insight on this, man. I'm trying to improve with my lighting so I can use the bg assets from daz that I've seen.
If you just want to use a [basically] neutral background, you can always turn on 'Draw Dome' in the environment tab, then rotate and/or orient dome:

By default, it's pretty bright, so you'll probably want to turn down 'Environment Intensity' (I think this one was set to .25)
