Excuseme but if anyone can help.

Im trying to transalte this game here with the tool.

Loading it into T++, exporting the scripts as a CSV, then running it through Dazed anon's tool as a CSV with some modified .env settings is successful, though some edits need to be made when importing the script back into T++.

The problem now though, is how to export the game through T++. Repackaging the game as a Windows executable simply. Doesn't work. Injecting doesn't seem to function either, it just creates a copy of the game directory as far as I can tell. The only way I've gotten the game to run with translated data is to run a preview through an obscure Tyrano Translator program that I don't even remember where I got from years ago.

That program has an export function too, but all it seems to do is similar to the inject function in T++, which is just copy the game folder to the Tyrano Translator export folder and get stuck on "Processing..."

Can anyone lend a hand and maybe some advice?

Here is the export version if anyone needs it to download and tinker with. ANy help would be apprecaited.

I never dealt with Tyrano before but I'll look into it and see what's wrong!
I can say this, when it comes to injecting translations with Translator++, to prevent
it from copying the entire directory, I select "Do not copy materials, inject translations only" which
prevents Translator++ from copying everything and only injecting the translation into the files.

This also prevents a bug where sometimes, translator++ fails to keep/set the encoding of the files
it's copying (This happened before 2024's Free April Update but I'm wary of it), which can cause issues
because the encoding being different can cause errors and that some japanese characters may be changed.

This was when I was learning Translator++ and translating (for fun, just for testing) Lose's first eroge game, (as I brought the game as part of a bundle containing all of Lose's games on dlsite on a super sale, just a couple dollars, back in Janaury 2024! The game bundle is frequently on sale throughout the year!)

Anyways that's all, I'll check the game you shared now and see what's what!

where do you find the "Do not copy materials, inject translations only" option?

It does send json outputs yes, as for it being structured...I guess?

You'll need to use my python json code here with any of the modules you'll be using as they're times
when the json output has additional characters at the beginning of the line which DazedMTL fails
to parse and skip.

Hope that helps!
I was talking about actually, my guess is that some providers support it while others don't.

A question to g4f users: are you familiar with the message "Du musst das Kästchen anklicken!"?

where do you find the "Do not copy materials, inject translations only" option?
In the "inject translation" window, however I must note that the option doesn't appear for every project from what I just notice now...

For example, an RPGMaker game you started a project with has the "Do not copy materials, inject translations only" option while something like starting a project with imported spreadsheets doesn't.

Here's an example image of what the option looks like:

and an example of the option not appearing:

Hope that helps clear things up! ^^

sirviper235 I figured out the issue! This is the problem!

You're missing files in this location here!
"...\export\node_modules\fs-extra\node_modules\rimraf\node_modules\glob\node_modules\minimatch\node_modules\brace-expansion"

There's supposed to be an "node_modules" in the brace-expansion folder but it was missing because...
Translator++ wasn't able to copy the files probably due to reaching the windows 256 file path limit! (or it being dumb).

I was able to resolve this by using an SDK version of nw.js exe (Same as the game exe's version) to use the dev tools to inspect the console for errors (I thank this thread for helping me again!)

Since Tyrano runs in NW.js browser just like RPGMAKER MV/MZ, it was easy identifying the problem heh.

You can fix this by simply copying "node_modules" from the original game folder (not in brace-expansion, as in the whole thing from the beginning of the game folder) over the node_modules in the main translated/exported folder.

Than the game will run and such!

I don't know where is correct place to ask this but does anyone know how to use/install tools from github? A lot of tools on that running with command but never guide how to do it. For example here is a tools that use AI catching voice to text and translate:

It said to install you need command "pip install -U openai-whisper" but how exactly I perform this command?
Also do I need to download this too?

I don't know how to use a tool without an exe file.

Hmm...so you're new to using commands I see?
There's a lot of learning to do when it comes to using CMD or Powershell, and I won't be holding your
hand on everything with this.

But I'll help ya out just this time, any more you want to learn...I recommend going on youtube/google for learning
basic lessons on CMD, Powershell/Windows Terminal.

For now, I'm guessing you want to learn how to use DazedAnon's tool or any other tool that
uses command line? Okay I'll give you a quick guide.

You're using Windows right? Windows 10 or 11 or so?
To open CMD (or Powershell/Windows Terminal), open the start menu
on the bottom left (windows icon) and in the search bar, type "CMD" to open up command line!

That's to just open CMD, but in order to use "pip install", you need to have python installed
and seeing you're very new to this...I'm going to assume you don't have python installed
or if you do, you can just ignore this).

Download first (v3.13 or v3.12 recommended), when you open the installer, make sure to check the box
to include python in PATH, than install. It should look like this in the example
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Now after that's done, and it's installed, you can use "pip" within command line!
A note, if command line is already opened before you installed python, you won't see
any commands work with pip because the PATH has been updated and CMD needs to be
restarted to use the newly updated PATH which includes python and pip.

If you're going to use DazedMTL, I recommend reading the guide on his gitlab.
You can skip using Visual Studio and just use CMD (or Powershell) directly instead
if you want.

Oh and make sure to use this command within the DazedMTL directory in CMD/Powershell "pip install -r .\requirements.txt".
If you want to learn how to change directory within CMD, it's "cd dir", watch youtube or google for more info/tutorials.

Oh by the way, A quicker way to start up CMD is to press Win+R to open the run windows, than type "CMD" and it'll open.
You can also pin CMD to your taskbar too.

Okay that's all, there's probably a ton of stuff you want to do so please look up tutorials when it comes
to using CMD/Powershell, otherwise I'll help ya out if it's related to running DazedMTL or such.

Your welcome! ^^

I’ve put my project on Kirikiri on hold for now and decided to work on a more complex and interesting project (from a translation perspective) — Mugen Kairou 2 Rasen.

For now, I’m trying to use Translator++ to export CSV files for processing in DazedMTLTool. After that, I import the resulting translation back into Translator++.

There are of course many difficulties. For example, one issue is that the original Japanese text is returned instead of the translated text. I’ve kind of solved this by searching for the Japanese text in the initial column in Translator++ using a JS script and tagging it with a color code. Then, based on that tag, I perform a batch API translation via ChatGPT. But now I’ve encountered a problem for which I can’t come up with an effective solution.

The issue is that some lines of the original text, when translated via DazedMTLTool, are not returned as a single line, but as multiple lines. As a result, in some cells, the translation doesn’t match the original text.

Alternatively, when translating, multiple lines of the original text end up in a single translated text cell. This is a bit easier to handle, as in such cases, a blank line is usually produced, and it can be found using a script.

To make the "multiple lines issue" clearer, I’ll describe the problem in more detail.

The original text cell contains the followin:
"雑誌なんかの裸に比べると、痩せていて
胸やお尻は小さく、
脇には、うっすら肋骨が浮いていましたが、"

In the translation cell, opposite the original text, only the text "Compared to the naked women in magazines, she was thin" is placed.

The rest of the translation, "with small breasts and buttocks," and "and her ribs were faintly visible at her sides," goes into the following cells.

This is very hard to spot because, after a few cells, the translation matches the original again. If anyone has experience dealing with this issue efficiently, please share your insights.

(The translation was done via gpt4free api 4o model with a modified CSV module.)

UPD3
It seems that it is indeed possible to automatically compare cells in different columns. I found an extension for Google Sheets called "GPT for Sheets™ and Docs™," which includes a function named GPT_MATCH.

In general, this function is designed for somewhat different tasks, but with a formula like this:
=GPT_MATCH(B2:B200, A2:A200, , true)
(your syntax might vary slightly), you can output a "similarity" score in the corresponding column. It looks something like this ( attached the image to the post.)

Further automation can be handled using Google Sheets' built-in tools. However, instead of comparing GPT-4 translations with Google Translate translations, it might be better to compare GPT-4 translations performed with a batch size parameter of 20 with those performed with a batch size parameter of 1.

The Gemini API is suitable for this task. I don't plan to use this myself for now, but perhaps someone else will find it useful, so I'll leave it here.

Umm.... "code: 400 - {'error': "'response_format.type' must be 'json_schema'"}" How to fix it ? thank you in advance.
Likely the API that you are using isn't compatible with the tool. You will have to edit the modules if you want to get it to work since GPT supports json_schema and thats what the tool makes use of.

Hey everyone.

First of all, it's an amazing tool that you did there. You have my respects. I never really had the hand for coding/programming, but you made it clear enough through the guide so that even a chap like me could use it. Once again, great job.

Now, I just had a small question : is there any way to make the text in the Terminal more... "readable ?"

1737155183536.png

I translated the very first part of a game that uses tyranoscript as its motor, using the free version of GPT CuteFuniness mentionned some pages ago. It looks like everything has been translated, but sadly, I can't with this presentation decypher where should this line or this line be in the .ks file.

Thanks in advance !

I don't remember if this is the case or not but I think that text should be written into log/translationHistory which should be easier to read and contain the original text. If not I can look into doing that.

Oops, just checked, and there are whole untranslated segments. This is the answer he's giving me : 1737156291978.png .

Sometimes, he just didn't say anything : 1737156364100.png

And on some occasions, when he's translating something, he translates one line and then goes after the next segment... 1737156430112.png

Any idea as to why this happens ? Pure robotic peskiness ? Or could have I done a mistake in editing some of the program ?

Edit : it surely feels like pure robotic peskiness. I thought that maybe the moaning sounds would give him a hard time, but it doesn't seem like it, as he translated some of them like a champ. My guess would be the auto-censoring the author did on some of his words, replacing some of his letters with plain circles, has caused my machine to being unable to translate some sentences, and, by extension, some segments as a whole. I'll try putting the lines of dialogue through this thinking android one more time.

Those errors are usually a byproduct of the AI not quite being smart enough to properly translate the text. If the tool gets a bad response back it will throw that error and skip those lines, which is why you get untranslated text.

Only way to fix it is to either adjust the prompt, manually go in and translate those lines, or use a better AI.
