Hey! For the moment, I don’t plan to start any other project. Honestly, it requires an enormous amount of time, motivation, and investment. You can’t really imagine just how much until you do it yourself. I, for one, expected a much lighter workload when I started this game. Over the past four years, I’ve spent a huge amount of time on it without having the chance to turn it into a career, even though I’ve been very lucky to have your support. Right now, I simply don’t have the same amount of time as before, so at least for the moment, this remains my first and last project.
I feel you. I’ve tried making a game myself, and it’s much harder than it looks. I’m not saying it’s impossible for others to do — anyone can make a game — but it requires time. And when you’re struggling with your personal life, trying to make it through the day, going to work, paying bills, and handling responsibilities, you end up with little to no time left to focus on your game.

You still have to finish planning the story structure, write the scenes, create maps for the scenes, add models, make CGs, work on animations, and also code the game. All of this takes a lot of time. I'm not saying that making games is hard and imposible I'm saying that it requires time and effort which end up being difficult when you are only one person making the game

I also feel like you’ve faced a lot of setbacks in your career. Being banned from Patreon is definitely a huge blow, especially considering how many patrons you had there supporting you. I miss the old Patreon too, when you could upload anything and no one cared. Moving to SubscribeStar isn’t just a hassle because of the long approval process — it’s also that many people don’t want to support creators there. Some dislike the interface, and others avoid it because it doesn’t support PayPal. And now, with everything going on, even Itch.io feels like it’s no longer a reliable option.

It’s really sad that things have ended up this way. It takes a lot of the fun out of making adult games when you’re constantly running into obstacles.

Right now, I honestly feel like the best option is writing erotica stories. I’ve seen many new authors on Literotica producing great work and making a decent amount of money. Plus, you only need to focus on the writing, which makes things simpler. Personally, I think switching to writing stories instead of making games could be a smart move, since it doesn’t demand nearly as much time.

It’s sad news to hear that this will be your last game. I truly hope things go differently for you in the future and that you find success in whatever you choose to do. You’re a great dev, and your game is a real hidden gem.

Hi everyone! Thank you, Ruykiru! And yes, I really am back. I’ve read your messages and I want to thank you for your support, and also apologize for not being able to address your concerns sooner. In the post above, I’ve explained the reasons behind it all. I hope you’re still interested in this project, and especially in the grand finale that’s fast approaching. Believe me, even though I’ve been absent, I haven’t been idle. Once again, thank you all so much. Teasers are coming next week!

That's exactly it. There will always be new ideas surfacing as long as the internet exists. Anyway, thank you for the compliments and the kind words! And if you ever release your game one day, I wish you a lot of success!

Hot Tomato - I'm late to the welcome back party but it's Very good to hear from you and know that you are ok!!

There are many ways for an AVN to be abandoned but losing one as good as Deadmoon Survival without a word or a whisper was hard.

No blame on my part for your decision and the reality is that life can throw us curve balls that are so bad that we can't communicate with anyone for a time.

A routine hospital visit gone bad, a car accident, a localized natural disaster (that feels anything but local if you are in the middle of it) or any one of a number of other events can put a sudden stop to communications or redirect RL priorities.

For myself, I am glad that you are alive and communicating.

I Hope that you are at/back to full health!

I am also looking forward to more of this fine AVN but, honestly, knowing that you are alive and able to communicate is the better news of the two.

Please take care of yourself as you work and know that we are eagerly anticipating more time with the MC, ELizabeth and Juliet!

Cheers!! :coffee:

It's always a blessing to see abandoned games getting back on track again.

And I guess it has been a long time since the last update? I ran this game for the first time today and got the warning from Windows Defender Smartscreen about the .exe file of the game, but on the other hand, Total Virus detected no issue with the .exe file.

(My apologies if I'm misunderstood something).

This game in particular is currently clean, so no worries. It's a fairly common problem with many games that use the Ren'Py engine. Some antivirus programs mistakenly identify the "log" feature as a threat since it reads Windows data for log.txt purposes.

Thank you Pax! And yes, I’m in great shape! I hope it will show in the next update :p

Yeah and it was painful for me not to be able to give you the latest update along with an ending. Anyway, you’ll see, there will be a lot of content for our trio, and I especially hope that you’ll like it.

So glad you're ok and that you're back! such a great game. You mentioned additional renders in the extended mother daughter scene. Any additional animation?

Woohoo he's back finally!!! Can't wait to go through the ending!!
The end. I'm sure there are still a few chapters before we reach the end.
In any case, I'm super happy that Tomato is back. I couldn't believe it anymore.
I hope he'll pick up chapter 9 to make it a real update.
