I'm not surprised that he abandoned the game the first thing is that he reworked the game that he removed the zombies that fuck girls and then he started doing this and I had a feeling that version 9 would hardly come out so he abandoned the game he just doesn't know what to add to the plot itself without these zombies that added zest to the game itself and so the game became like all other games about zombies

Same thought, but maybe the dev or his aid had communicated to f95 dev and told them, no proper news yet, we might get more info from the other dev who was helping him.
Idk where to find the rules about the tag but it's only been 2 months since I last got in proper contact with him.

Well, I am not quite sure that Deadmoon Survival meets any of these criteria for being tagged as Abandoned, but this may be a positive for the fans, as the "Abandoned" tag on F95 can sometimes urge developers to reach out to their community and resolve any misconceptions.
But we also can't ignore the fact that the dev hasn't even responded to one of their closest "collaborators" Ruykiru for months now. That's never a good sign.

We all know that the developer made almost nothing with this game. And surprisingly, he managed to make more money by not releasing an update than when he released updates regularly.
In question, the game (my opinion, of course).
A game about an apocalyptic world (zombies) has a small range of people who like this theme (compared to other themes). I personally don't even like the theme, I was playing for the incest and NTR (which unfortunately had very little content).
The story itself was cliché, like all incest games, not very creative or surprising. The simple animations were scarce.
Honey Select is already very outdated, among other reasons.
Maybe it didn't get the attention the developer wanted, and without money, things don't move forward.

I might understand seeing this abandoned, but it's still sucks anyway. Sure, the story wasn't that inovative or creative but it was still fun to play anyway and I enjoyed the incest writing. Could be the standart scenario were the game didn't go as well as dev hoped and it become either too expensive to develop or dev just gave up without bothering to inform those who help him financially or otherwise. Part of me still gonna hope for the eventual update, but I doubt it will happened.

Eternum is using Honey Select, and that thing looks amazing still. Obviously, there are limits to what HS can do, but Caribdi sure did push that engine to the limits.

Yes, even within the same engine, there are many differences. And unfortunately this developer was unable to extract the most out of them.

I liked that one, so it's sad to see another fun game getting abandoned.
I've had some issues with it, like i didn't want random ntr past moments and im not against ntr, i think it would be better if main characters would find another smaller survivor group and maybe some npc trying to get it with the girls in one path, MC banging other girls from another group etc.
Another thing was that sometimes it felt like too much reading "lore" dump drops in certain moments, that was kinda killing the mood.
Still it sucks that it's abandoned.

One of the games that impacted me the most, maybe because I love the idea of a post-apocalyptic world where you survive alongside other girls. It's a shame; I would have loved to see the continuation. I was excited to see how it would all end.

Obviously honey select is not limited I remember cross realm had such a wonderful artwork and animations.i think the problem is the story if the sex scenes (if you got ntr don't hold back cause you'll atleast satisfy that fanbase) are the priority then honey select wouldn't help much gaining attention you must have engaging plots and dialogues.
