As you may know, the main developer, my good friend HotTomato, kinda ghosted everyone and went missing (don't know why) for months and it feels bad to hang on to what we had worked on so far for 0.9. I didn't add anything truly new though, all the renders/story are still by him. I've been with him in this project for a long time as a helper, mainly for writing, and I'm working full time on my own visual novel now. Still, I did take some time off, made some tweaks, and cooked up something for you all though...
You can check the changelog in the main menu or down here. There's also more info at the start and end of the 0.9 version in-game, including my thoughts of the whole thing and ramblings about the future of DMS, but I will also attach them here in spoilers if you want to read a bible, get some context, get sad, and then happy

I'm not keen of seeing someone else continuing a project that the orignal dev abandoned and didn't give his consent. As sad as it is, just let it go and let's mourn this project. It's not the first time this happens, and won't be the last. I still hope for his return to finish it, but I'm not delusional.
Well, like I said, he said he would rather not (but we were talking about his long vision for the game after he finished the 'short' ending in 1.0 as he called it). This thing took a completely different turn, given that he probably won't release the rest of 0.9 and 1.0 in the first place.
But anyway, go play 0.9 first. I want people to see how hard he worked on it
Also it's unfortunate but the release post just got 'buried' at the end of last page whoops! I reported the game thread already so hopefully some uploader will update the links of the main thread soon anyway.

Sorry if you misunderstood me. He did all of it: story, audio and renders. I only did the improved writing/translation/proofread and some coding tweaks for menus like I always do since I started helping him around update 0.3. The only true thing I added by myself is the developer messages at the start and end of 0.9, stating the situation with the information I have with my older private chats with him.
It was a hard decision on my part, but I wouldn't say it's too early. The paid subscribers are not exactly happy when the release date was delayed a bunch of times already, and then the final date was set, and yet 3 months have passed with no messages or closure. If he ends up returning, well, it will be very embarrassing for me but I assume full responsibility
