for the record, the account has to click a link to compromise it. it's not a "hack" it's a phishing scam that hijacks stuff. people throw "hacked" around too much and that conflates the meaning
someone with access to his account clicked the link. could have been him, could have been someone else. doesn't matter. facts are facts, the account was active until then
Or, you know, it could have genuinely been 'hacked' because of the discord data breach. They sent emails and shit for you to change your password because of it.
His account wasn't even active until he posted those links, and has remained offline since then. It's more likely his info was part of the data that got sold to a bunch of scammers, instead of him suddenly having a schizo moment and going "Oh! I have an account I haven't used for months now! Let me use it to click this obvious phishing link so I'll have a valid excuse to abandon this game and go radio silent, months after I've already gone radio silent!"
Also get with the lingo, my brother. 'Hacked' is just losing control of your account. Doesn't matter how it happened. Someone else has your account now without permission, so it's hacked. End all, be all.
