Aye, this plot, while disturbingly ... banal, is actually well within expectations for Japanese games. Then again, their culture is like that, pressure, expectations, it's probably not as out there as we'd think. Though I wonder... does the main audience actually know this is kinda weird?

For linux users, I was able to get this running under regular wine, but the game seems to want to write a temp file somewhere (haven't figured out where) that normal permissions disallow, so I had to run it through sudo. YMMV, if I figure out where that file is trying to go it might be solved by a simple chmod.
