The development of Deer in the Meadow's first version is still going strong!
There were some hiccups as I had to figure some things out about StudioNeo (there's still so much to learn...) but learning things now will speed up future development!
Here's a bonus winter themed render from a little animation I made for practice:
Also I spotted some typo/grammar errors on my playthrough. I'm not some grammar expert but I think some of my fixes should be right. Perhaps consider researching some of the tools online where you can check your grammar while writing the script.
TLDR;
This game has potential! Will have to see once more content comes out. There is a clear attention to detail and effort being put into multiple aspects of the game. The dev has a certain style/artistic vision they're going for and it shows with how they way they're utilizing things. The story and nature of the game is certainly very unique, perhaps it won't fit most peoples taste or be as profitable as other games. However I still want to encourage the dev and show my appreciation! In the vast amount of low effort milking slop these days this is a real diamond in the rough. Stick to your vision and keep telling your story in the way you want to! Nowadays you really do crave these unique, passionate devs and I hope I'm not alone when I'm saying that.

No apologies needed, feedback like this is VERY welcome. Not taken to heart at all and is extremely helpful! "Smash Bros. UI" even got a chuckle from me LOL.
I didn't even consider how the animations could effect lower end devices. I also don't know how to test it exactly...
The main purpose of this way for feedback on things the UI so again, big thanks for that! I already hate some of the menus myself after learning somethings, so there's definitely some touching up to do.
For example I HATE the textboxes, idk wtf I was thinking making it so bright, opaque, and giving it so much real estate lmao.
Also yeah I tinkered a lot with the mouse and simply couldn't get it as precise as wanted. Though as you said, some buttons are way too small and shouldn't be focus masked.
As for the typos/grammar/weird dialogue... yeah I'm just an airhead sometimes I wish I had an excuse like English isn't my first language lol. There's probably some in this reply.
Again thanks, a LOT for the feedback. Like seriously. I'm brand new to pretty much all of the skills needed for this so I'm looking to iron out the wrinkles early. I can already look back and cringe at the way I coded some things.

Thanks for the reply. Dunno why I've been so compelled to start giving feedback lately. Started with the devs of Eden and now you. Wonder who's gonna have to suffer my yapping next lol.
As for the animations yeah there's not really much to be done there. If you develop your following in the future you could get some people to test it. Although I wouldn't really worry about it too much. It's not like Renpy needs some crazy hardware requirements anyways. Mainly it was that gear transition into the options menu that was really bugging me. I'm playing on a 6+ year old laptop so I can't really blame you. Pretty much everything else and the actual in-game animations that matter run fine.
Relieved to see you agree with me on the UI and stuff. Thought I was just being overly anal about it lol.
As for the dialogue don't worry it was still perfectly serviceable. These things can always be improved on over time. I mean I'm playing a porn game I don't expect everything to be some divinely crafted literary masterpiece.
Overall I can you say you got some real talent here despite being new to this. I mean for a new dev I'm already more than satisfied with the general quality of things compared to others I've seen. I consider myself pretty picky too. Don't be too hard on yourself! I'll be following the development of this game for sure. If you ever need more feedback hit me up. Wish you the best.
